DOA?

RX9070 non-XT would be almost £600 with VAT at those prices.

It is possible those were the original planned prices and they just accidentally listed the products without the updated ones. Hopefully optimistic.
Honestly I don't think they know the prices yet, at least not the final ones. Amd have changed prices between review embargo and launch before. And if as we suspect this delay is about re-evaluating the price, until it's official, no price is official

At most with a 699 price i'd be disappointed not upset, i'd get one but it will be a low end MRSP Model.

I'm hoping MRSP will be 599 for the XT and 499 for the non XT, that's the price I think it will be a game changer. 699 I don't think will be enough to move minds and I think most will still buy a 5070ti even if it's worse.

I'm starting to feel like I picked the worst possible time to build a new PC
Everytime is the worst time, the second you buy it's out of date, but GPUs have been bad for years now so ythere's not really been a good time, outside of NVME's getting a lot better in value nothing much has changed over the last few years.

Monitors have come right down.

Hi frames 27" 1440p screens for instance are much cheaper than they were

I guess but it's also something you don't need to upgrade that often so I guess it's out of my mind, I doubt i'll need to upgrade again until 4k OLEDs come right down.

Remember all the leaks of Nvidia 5000 series GPUs with prices of £1,400+ that didn't come true. Well until they got scalped of course.

Well considering they were pre-scalped for our convenience i'd say people were bang on with £1400

I've been waiting 1.5months for these cards to come out before I build my PC since I thought we would have these in January...

I keep my PCs for a minimum of 5 years so I'm sure as hell not missing out on a potentially good deal, considering the current market

I remember paying £665 odd for my 6800XT on day of release. A 9070XT for around £650-700 does not seem unreasonable in that context given it should be a 50%+ uplift in raster performance and 100s%+ in RT.

How well do £700 mid range radeon sell? 6800xt is pushing 5 years old, you think a 50% uplift at the same or higher price is a good deal.....

I'm not saying it great, just no unreasonable. £650 from November 2020 is apparently £850-£880 in today's money depending on your measure of inflation. Being priced £150-£200 lower than that would put it in a lower tier of pricing.

It is rumoured to be between 7900xtx/4080s performance both of which are £1,000ish at the moment. Last generation's upper tier performance for lower tier price. Not unreasonable.

It's mid tier card so I think that's unreasonable, that means we should be okay with £500 low tier cards now
