*** The AMD RDNA 4 Rumour Mill ***

I find it hilarious how many launch cards ended up on MM a few weeks after launch In past, clearly fomo regret or their partner found out how much they actually paid lol

If its the later said folk probably have their nads safely ensconced in the other halfs handbag.

Weirdly looks like AMD officially launched these in China,

$599 for 9070XT
$549 for 9070

$50 higher than I expected tbh but they are still priced competitively I guess, although I suspect initial stock will fly off the shelves I reckon Nvidia will adjust its price and AMD will likely drop lower in a few months

Interestingly someone pointed out that the 7900GRE was launched in china at a higher price than everywhere else. So don’t be surprised if the official global pricing changes later today lol.

7900GRE launched at a higher price here, but got poor sales. It was a bit of a laughing stock initially. Price dropped when they launched it everywhere else.

4999RMB will have me considering it. Just waiting to see what the reviews say.

Edit: Opinion seems very positive on Chiphell forums. Hopefully there's a lot of stock, as this is going to sell well.

At those prices it converts to $599 for the XT and $539 for the non XT.

XT if trading blows with a 70Ti, that is a big win. You would be paying 25% more for similar performance for the Nvidia GPU. It will be even more massive if there is enough stock for that to be a realistic price for the base models.

The non XT seems like a missed trick and I assume would miss the 20% better price perf over a 5070, if all the perf leaks for both GPUs are accurate. But it should be noted that the 9070 does have 4GB more VRAM (no GDDR 7 won’t make a difference). Though getting under that $500 price point on the 9070 would have been massive.

$539 for the 9070 is so so and just too close to the 5070 expected price/perf but the extra VRAM helps a bit. Seems like they are upselling people to the XT and to be fair, I can understand why because $599 is a genuinely great price for the level of performance.

if these are the true prices, then they are amazing considering nvidia and current market conditions. You are basically getting 4080 performance for £600, its the kind of generational price/performance we should have got but NVidia decided to take us all to dry cleaners. I hope they regain market share, if these cards get cold reception then everybody who buy NVidia deserves these idiotic prices.

Only 50 between the two cards is curious. With no reference card I find it hard to believe these will be the prices here, but fingers crossed.
