*** The AMD RDNA 4 Rumour Mill ***

Hopefully there will be stock for a few hours... I'm at work so if I want to hit 2pm I'll have to nip off to the bogs with my phone or wait until 5pm.

Reminder that reviews are Weds and launch is Thurs...

Personally, given taxes, shipping and the strange way that dollars usually seem to get converted to pounds on a one to one basis, I seriously doubt you'll see £600 for an XT. I'll go to £700, above that I won't bother, or maybe I might possibly be tempted to go for an plain 9070 on the basis I think you will be able to overclock it to get reasonably close to an XT, though I doubt you ever be able to flash it to the equivalent of an XT. I think they physically alter/damage the chips these days to stop that game.

£700 should get you the base no frills model
I strongly suggest you suck it up and buy the difference for a premium card - it's just £100 and the way things are going there are going to be price hikes after April

It seems like it's all doom and gloom in the Nvidia thread and you guys here have lifted up since last friday which is why I'm here - with happy friends
For the past week I've been having to go back to videocardz almost every other day to double check that page that shows all the embargo dates for this week. They should just make it simple it be one day for all the reviews and all the launches for ordering!

You're on to something here.

I remember the 50 series prices

5090 : £25000 : £2500 (real target)
5080 : £11999 : £1200 (real target)

Current pricing for the RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT ~ 6.5K

Target £650 and £700
Although both the XT and non XT Pulses are 11,999

Certainly, my expectation is that if you don't get it in this initial wave I don't see anything other than price increases. TMSC is at capacity for the foreseeable future, the AI market will pay whatever for silicon, and there is currently such a shortage in the GPU market it will soak up anything irrespective of price.

I'm thinking that my initial 'GET THE TAICHI' might stumble and I may refocus on the Aorus Elite / Sapphire Nitro+.

People seem a bit scared about the power connectors.... hmmm

Current exchange rate on $599 plus 20% vat is £564 if the mba priced cards are starting at £650 that's a fair bit of scalping from retailers.

It will be based on when the cards were bought by the retailer, not on what the exchange rate is at 2pm tomorrow. A few month back when these were starting to stockpile, the exchange rate for the pound was worse.

Having said that about £600 for the XT is what the lowest “should be”, but it will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Pulse and Steel Legend were the ones I was mainly looking at and they appear to be within my range. Not sure I like the whiteness of the Steel Legend, but I'm a double denim type so what do I care what it looks like. Still have to get through the crashing websites at 2pm though, so still a long shot given what I think the stock is actually likely to be.
