*** The AMD RDNA 4 Rumour Mill ***

Not impressed with the power consumption on these. I don’t understand how it’s so close to 7900 XTX power draw (in some reviews) when the performance in rasterisation is much slower and it’s a much smaller and cut back chip.

FORUM MEMBERS HEADS UP FOR MSRP SKU's
So guys tomorrow these are the SKU's we have 100+ on to sell at MSRP, but again be quick:

Though volume is good I expect these to sell fast.
Demand also looks to be incredible on the £699 Sapphire 9070 XT Nitro and Asrock 9070 XT Taichi.

The Sapphire 9070 XT Nitro is in transit to ourselves and due to arrive this Friday, over 500 units. :)

That's a really odd way to word it given its faster than a 4070 Ti Super, its equivalent (unless you want to argue about 4%) to the £800+ 5070 Ti for £230 less, yes i think that's good.
I'm just going off HW unboxed 1440p data which shows it performs the same as a 4070tiS, 1440p will be the most common resolution with this card and even at 4k the upscaling will take you down to 1440p or less.

Obviously it looks better than the 5070ti with its fantasy pricing, that is a low bar but a 4070tiS has been available multiple times over the past year at £650 and was even £550 with an ASUS cashback offer at one point so for me personally I don't think AMD has done enough.

Hmm, not the 50% improvement across the board over my 3080fe that was expected. I'm not sure I'll bother now :(
Yeah I'm rather torn too, still on a 3080 and whilst tempted as the price is good in the current climate it's still not quite amazing enough to jump I feel.

Feel like if FSR4 was as readily available in games as DLSS is then I'd be persuaded.

Then again I've not bought a new gpu in 4 years, might get one out of boredom.

pricing now though...people buying the msi gaming trio 5070 for £700....for 4070super performance you could have bought for £500 back in nov??? crazy
Yeah that's why people shouldn't be getting carried away with any of these cards at current pricing. People are behaving like its a crypto boom yet the cards are not mining money for anyone in fact they are losing money on them.

Might have made the heatsibk in a way that it doesn't contact the vram modules to sink heat away. A teardown would be nice to see whats going on.
Agreed - not sure why they are charging the highest price for their o/c model when they only have a two year warranty.

I'd love to buy PowerColor Reaper, but I'm not happy with vram temps 90 and 92 C Max.
Imagine summer time :(

All of them seem to be around that even the premium Aib cards, all within spec but wonder how much headroom before throttling occurs

Amazed how much power it uses. 50w more than a 5080. How do they manage that?
pushed it too hard
I am impressed how agressively these cards downclock on low/partial load. And RDNA4 looks super efficient in lower power states.
9070 is power limited into a very efficient zone, but 9070XT goes too high.
At least coolers can handle it unlike Vega 64
