I am not going to read anything into all that info. End of the day when RX Vega arrives in August it will need to compete with over a year old pascal cards on price. If it cannot match or beat it for price for performance it will be a big fail after all that wait.

They can price the Frontier Edition at 2K for all I care. As long as they can bring out 1080 performance or better for around £400 it will be fine for Freesync owners like myself.

Ideally it needs to have something close to 1080ti performance for around £500 if it wants to make an impact.

Because it runs at far lower clocks and won't have the same performance figures.

I'm guessing 1600MHZ for the 375w water cooled,. 1200W for for the 300w blower. Gaming Vegas could be 1000-1200w. 300w is.srillmtoonhigh for a gaming card really.

Hope I'm.wrong but something needs to explain that power difference

The performance figures shown are for the blower cooler as it states on the chart. so that would mean the AIO should have higher scores than this. Plus they have already said the gaming editions will be higher clocked and better performing than this.

You heard it hear first folks! Get buying some 1600-2000W PSUs, because gaming Vega is going to need at least 1000-1200W to run, and "is.srillmtoonhigh".

Yeah, pattern of reasoned analysis of the presented facts.

It is a fact that AMD have been incredibly dirty benchmarking professional software without the correct drivers.

Best to wait until we see the actual reviews and also the actual prices as I don't think those are accurate either.

Well considering the UK place that listed it nearly scammed me on my Titan X Maxwell pre-order, I wouldn't put much stock in them anyway.

We'll know everything about the Frontier Edition come 27th of June.

The results table is highly unreliable.

AMD never said the gaming card would have higher clocks, only it would have better performance due to gaming optimized drivers.

I'm struggling to believe that pricing and in the back of my mind I'm thinking it's got too be a placeholder price that a certain online distributor pulled out of his butt.

Come now guys, we all know that Vega will at least compete with the 1080. Worst case scenario is inbetween 1070 and 1080 and best case is 1080Ti performance.

I'm hoping that's the case, If it isn't Radeon have got a cheek blowing there own trumpet (okay drums) for such a lacklustre product.

It does seem very unlikely (as you've pointed out yourself) that a year later AMD will bring out a high end product that sits above RX480/580 in the product stack, but can barely outperform RX480/580. People are so desperate for crumbs of information, they've stopped thinking logically, which is why clickbait sites make this stuff up and cause everyone to go into a frenzy.

I'm pretty sure Gibbo wouldn't have been "very impressed" by what he saw behind closed doors a couple of months back if Vega can barely outperform AMD's year-old tech.
