The Ampere RTX 3070 Owners Thread

So, while the mahoosive heatsink on the MSI Gaming X seems like a pain at first, I'm realising the benefits. Silence. Absolute silence. It's bliss! Got it happily running 1950mhz at 0.937v and in gaming today I have a max temp of 58 celcius. Insane! And the GPU fans don't seem to bother coming on until it's at 53 or so, and this is in a very janky setup currently with no fans directing any air at it in the case. Genuinely curious to see how it works in the new setup!

Hi folks,
I'm looking for some information on the card iv pre ordered (kind of by accident).
I've ordered a palit game rock pro 3070 and I'm 17th in the queue, but I cant find a single card/review online!
Does this card even exist?

my biggest observation regarding Ram on 3070, GPU runs out of Steam before running out of ram at 4K. 4K is massive hog. Example BFV. I turned DLSS off for these just so I could see some raw performance. IT definately fills the VRAM up, I turned off Memory limitation setting as well see if it would demand more but it sits around nearly full and runs smoothly. my 1600AF keeping up as well at 4K in Single player and multiplayer.

I seem to remember Gibbo saying in the stock situation thread that they’d have more of all the Palit cards within a couple of weeks. I don’t think they had any game rocks at launch though.

ITX boards in ATX cases with massive GPUs hanging off them always look interesting... :p

Planning on picking up a 5600x and a B550 ATX board this week, hopefully, or failing that a stop gap ryzen cpu second hand.

Looks clean! seems card length is 323mm... any space for 30mm or standard 27mm AIO set up at the front ?

That might be just memory allocation. I believe Afterburner now shows the amount of Ram allocated and the amount actually in use. It was discussed in one of the threads here not so long ago.

I just got my 3070 too

The cutout you can see at the bottom is designed to fit a standard 360mm aio in the front, so it looks to be fine. I can measure once I'm home, but the case can also fit a 240 or 280 (motherboard/memory height dependant) aio in the roof

looking and it seems 320mm rtx 3*** cards might not work with 30mm rads + standard thickness fan. 27mm found on AIO/CLC units might just work though

Possibly, I can have a look this evening and see. I'm hoping to fit either a 240 or, if it fits, a 280mm Arctic AIO on the roof of the case. Ordered both alongside the new mobo, so test fit soon.
