CPU usage is 70% at it’s peak. i7 10700k OC 5.0 - I have seen a lot of people complaining about the GPU usage. AMD and Intel, yup.

i am just looking forward to the new driver update. i tried to reinstall Windows already 3 times doing different varation of settings, changes in BIOS, turning off power limits etc.

Which of the 3080s are the Blower type, I imagine they give out a fair amount of heat to put in the case otherwise

GIGABYTE RTX 3090 Turbo, none of 3080s

See that's what I mean about decent chips also experiencing the drops. I mean it could well be CPU limitations at 1440p or indeed driver optimisation's. Maybe both mixed.

Don't think there is much that can be done from the users end to fix it. I plan to replace my CPU when the new ones come out and maybe that will help. Otherwise it's just wait to see for drivers.

Funnily enough my mates Palit that I managed to get for him arrived today - I was sorely tempted to swap it for my Zotac

Thanks, about to upgrade the case to a 4000D Air however as I've found the Fara R1 too cramped for a top mounted rad to perform that well, the temps are just not that great unfortunately under load.

Not just that I've managed to get a 19022 Graphics Score on TimeSpy with it so I'm thoroughly impressed

It's also completely silent, fan hasn't went above 54% during typical gaming and temps maxing at 72-74C.

CPU bottlenecks can occur with 70% utilisation. A lot of games stress 1 core more than the others.
If 1 core is at 100% and the others are around 65% than you will be CPU limited but only using 70% of the CPU.

It will vary game to game

Thursday when Nvidia had them up I was in the right place at the right time. They all went in about 1min. I hope that does not break the code I will edit if it does.

i keep checking it on NV every couple hours but always OUT OF STOCK, was it night time or just random time during the day when you placed the order ?

Last Thursday I was keeping an eye out on Nvidia site. By luck I noticed the list page go from out of stock to check availability, clicked the button and there it was the mysterious add to cart button. I didn't believe it until I had the order confirmation. It was a strange experience lol.
