Probably explains it. It's been clocked that high and then you have underclocked it but your underclock is still an overclock from stock.

Well underclocked/undervolted in FFXIV the 3080 Ti works quite nicely at 0.8v max settings 1440P stable 60FPS, Going to see if I can get it lower after work.

I've paired my 3080 Ti FE with a 5950X and am very pleased with the performance. I mainly use DaVinci Resolve and Blender, but with some gaming on the side. Everything at stock, it's giving excellent performance (TimeSpy: https://www.3dmark.com/spy/23804959, FireStrike: https://www.3dmark.com/fs/26570794).

I've been having a blast playing through Doom Eternal's master levels again with ray-tracing enabled on this card, the game looks so good and runs so fluidly. I'm very happy with the performance.

Now need to experiment with undervolting to reduce temps a bit. It is hitting 80-83C during FurMark torture testing, although it's not that high during actual use and gameplay.

Hey, it's been a while since I have last visited.

Bought my card from Caseking due to UK tax if I buy from here.

INNO3D GeForce RTX 3080 Ti iChill X4 LHR, 12288 MB GDDR6X

Should arrive in the next day or two. I think this will be a solid upgrade from SLI Titan X Pascals for my 4K monitor.

Out of interest what are peoples memory temps when gaming and also max boost clock values?

Mine seems be around 83-85 degrees and it's boosting to over 1900, although in bursts. Is that about normal?

Temps depend on the model, Founders Edition, Strix, FTW3 Ultra etc... and boosting to over 1900 in bursts is completely normal.

My KFA2 3080 Ti Hall of Fame Edition has the memory sitting around an average of 66'c and 67'c on the core with a 1:1 fan speed ratio when at full load and overclocked 100 on the core and 1000 on the memory.

Memory temps of 80'ish are completely fine as max operating temp of GDDR6X is around 110'c if memory serves, A lot of 3080 Ti FE owners have seen memory temps, With bad thermal pad applications, Go as high as 105'c.

Throttling occurs at around 110'c and 120'c is when damage can occur, So 83-85 is great for a Founders Edition.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is getting between 63 and 65fps.

Just come to the realisation the 3080 Ti is now 6 months old, In tech terms it is now ancient and must be forcefully thrown at the wall as a sacrifice ready for the next series at the end of 2022 !

For some reason farcry 6 is unplayable under 60fps, proper laggy feeling even 1fps under. Doesn't happen with Valhalla.

You need a 16GB card to play FC6 with HD textures pack - anything less runs into problems apparently - AMD sponsored title - FC6 doesnt look any better than FC5 and FC5 also had an HD texture pack. WHack rivatuner overlay on and see what your VRAM usage is.

Played FC6 recently with a 6900XT and honestly in most aspects it looks exactly like FC5 in the image quality department, Based on the visuals it shouldn't need more than 8GB, Nevermind 16GB.

Not anymore. The last patch fixed the texture/vram management/rendering issue, even works on the 3080 now (ubi changed the "official" requirements down to 12GB for the HD texture pack). At 4k, you will need to use FSR UQ though.

Couldn't agree anymore, I personally thought new dawns textures looked slightly better too, less "variety" in the game world though i.e. a lot more reused assets.
