Quite common with a lot of games ive noticed on my 3090, its pretty frustrating when its not maxxing out your settings at 4k/120 but the clock refuses to budge past 1300 or something and your only getting 90-100fps.Just noticed something amusing whilst playing Forza Horizon 5: the 3090Ti is so under-utilized running this game at Ultra/1440p/60fps settings that it doesn't even bother kicking in the 3D clocks (and I didn't notice whilst playing either) - to get the card to actually do some work, I have to run the game at 4k/unlocked framerate
Hmm... I've not actually had that issue when gaming at 4k with the FPS unlocked - in this particular case with Forza, clearly the 3090Ti can output 1440p/60 without having to raise its clocks. What CPU are you using? Could that be the bottleneck? Have you tried a fixed clock with Afterburner to see if it improves the framerate?

In my case (Forza) I'd imagine the 6900/6950 would behave similarly, otherwise it'd just be maintaining high clocks and using more power for zero gain.

Much quieter, for sure, just like me , you have your energy monitored with the smart meter app, not that bad when gaming but when benchmarking, obviously runs at full power, then it gets a bit scaryThe 3090 FE just couldn't keep up with the 6950 XT, so it was time to call in some reinforcements.

Yup just going to do the 7950X/X670E upgrade, then I really am done for the next 2 or 3 years.

It was basically a free upgrade, so I couldn't really say no could I.
Stable under volt that I'm happy with.
This reduces the power draw by around 140w and the GPU core temp down by 16c from the out-of-the-box default.
