The answer to the petrol crisis

wow I thought we would eventually manipulate bugs like this to eat waste and purify water and other such stuff. But I didn't think it would be this soon. Be awesome if it's true.

the fact is that there isnt a shortage of oil though ... its manipulation

it costs $5 to pump oil out the ground in saudi arabia, someones making a killing

oh and canada has as much oil as saudi too

canada will be the new saudi, when it starts full production of shale oil extraction.

I agree with Tuffty. Hydrogen seems to outweigh Crude in terms of advantages. We just need a way of storing it.

What advantages, hydrogen has pretty much the lowest energy content of must fuels by volume, is virtually impossible to store as the atoms are so small, I don't see it becoming viable for a long time yet.

By store, I mean in a container reliably, it will leak through anything, sure that takes time, but still not good.

Hydrogen produces H2O, which is a worse green house gas then CO2. I doubt this will come of anything, probably cost far too much to make a barrel then to simply suck it out of the ground (which there is plenty of down there).
