the fact is that there isnt a shortage of oil though ... its manipulation
it costs $5 to pump oil out the ground in saudi arabia, someones making a killing
oh and canada has as much oil as saudi too
I agree with Tuffty. Hydrogen seems to outweigh Crude in terms of advantages. We just need a way of storing it.
Hydrogen has a massive calorific value. That's all that counts.

Hydrogen produces H2O, which is a worse green house gas then CO2. I doubt this will come of anything, probably cost far too much to make a barrel then to simply suck it out of the ground (which there is plenty of down there).
