The Antec 900 Cooling is AMAZING!

Ok guys first off appologies as i haven't read through the full thread properly so please don't shout at me!

just a quick question, i'm thinking of getting this case but just wandering what the possibilities of internal watercooling are with it? (ideally to house a pa120.2 rad)

Got mine coming this week, going to cable tie it as neat as possible and pop an extra 120mm silent fan on the window panel!

I currently have a wave master the large silver steel model which has 2 x 80mm fans on the front plus one on the rear, none of which are silent, I want to be able to leave my pc on over night downloading but it sounds like a space ship in the next room with the doors shut too

can't wait for a bit of silence !!

yes with all the fans on the lowest setting airflow is still very good and it's very quiet.

Medium is acceptable...and high is pretty loud. The fans themselves aren't loud but you hear the airflow...lots of rushing/gushing air.

dont like it, whats with the tacky blueness on the front, makes it look like sum sort of dr who contraption, although i do like the idea of the tray on the top. but if you want space for somthing like a rad, get my case, its huuge

Tacky to one person maybe cool to another?!?!

Personal taste I think!

Will pop some pics on when its built and sorted!

I think it looks damn cool.

Really I'd buy one, but it is a mostly open case, i.e mesh at the side, grill all the way up the front, top fan grill, grills everywhere meaning a dust hazard. I know you can't stop dust fully, but I'd like it so I'd only have to clean the material or whatever I have thats over the grill. But that would mean patching up most the case.

It's annoying spending £10 on a can of compressed air just to clean out the case once a week/month. I like it though but I have worries on it:

PSU at bottom cause a problem?
DVI Connector problem (some say it is others say it isn't so idk)
PSU Cables long enough ( I have modular cables, will they be long enough?)
Noise?
Dust.

Thats it.

Can't see the PSU at the bottom being an issue tbh, I have a Type-R PSU and I know they fit ok, friend of mine built his at work and we put it in a small office and turned it on, fans set to high and there is some noise but on med/low I heard nothing, dust is always an issue but I don't pay for my cans of air so I'm cool :D

U know theres a Jeantech ATX case just like that has 120mm on the back and 2 120mm blue neon silent fans on the front.... pretty much same design as well just missing that top part.

Not bad for 30 quid either.....

But im sure the Antec overall is better quality wise.

I was thinking of this exact same idea.

I was able to get my hands on one and measure it up with the specs from thermochill.

A PA120.2 Rad will fit in the front, upright, behind the two front fans. However, after clearance issues, it'll leave you with just 2 5.25" bays with which to put your hard drives and optical drives... :(

Not to mention, the your PSU at the bottom god knows how your going to get a pump in there as well. Forget a res, it would have to be a simple T-Line setup.

I was REALLY tempted by a PA120.2 and one of these, but decided against it.

Instead, I went bigger, for a Lian G70 and I am so glad I did it! Just because it has the space, I bought a pair of hard drives to RAID up and stuck an extra spare PSU in it for the fun :D

I've read other reviews on the 900 but this one was no doubt the best one I have read:

http://www.tweaknews.net/reviews/antecninehundred/

And thinking on the theory/fact that yewen once said about if air balance is right then if dust goes through then it will just be pushed out by the exaust.

The antec has 2x120mm intakes at the front if any dust blows through then the 200mm exaust at the top and the 120mm exaust fan at the back meaning a balanced air flow so if any dust goes through the front it would be jetted out the top and back.

theory or fact, it sounds right to me, and big bits of dust would be trapped in a grill.

Alough I don't have as bad as a dust problem as I used to, since I have a wooden floor now, its still something to think about.

Lucky sob getting free cans of air  .
