Tbf, I think it was only a matter of time anyway, unfortunately.I guess they might regret firing those rockets now!

it always seems dodgy to me how people can outright support one side in this thing, seems to be an American or right-wing thing to support Israel completely and turn a blind eye to issues they could resolve and a left-wing thing to support Palestinians completely and turn a blind eye to their terrorism etc.. or to try and be an apologist for it
At least 119 have been killed in Gaza, including 31 children and 19 women, and 830 others wounded in the current hostilities, Palestinian medical officials said.
The death toll in Israel stood at eight: a soldier patrolling the Gaza border, six Israeli civilians — including a an elderly woman who fell on the way to a shelter on Friday and two children — and an Indian worker, Israeli authorities said.
For realisies?probably quite intentionally on the part of Hamas
Hamas, as its name (Islamic Resistance Movement) implies, aims to liberate Palestine from the Israeli occupation, and transform the country into an Islamic state.
Phrasing is a key factor. My statement was in reply to "It's obvious that this is what Hamas wanted..."Those things aren't mutually exclusive!
That Hamas has previously made use of children as suicide bombers makes it clear they're content with having some child casualties here, the locations of their rocket launches and knowing what the obvious reaction from Israel will be is also rather callous of them.
None of that necessarily negates their aim.
Propoganda has become engraved within daily media on a global level.whys gaza different
I often wondered what would happen if there were no bombs and rockets
Have a huge LOL from me.Hamas' stated aim is the destruction of israel as a state. They are not fighting aggressors, they are the aggressors.

Nice rebuttal - no debate on the raised point, simply call me a racist based solely on a highly contested definition. Definitely deserves another big LOL.Breaching the internationally recognised definition of antisemitism isn't going to help your argument, or theirs.
A couple of links for your benefit. Denying the right of Israel to exist is definitely considered antisemitism

Not sure lol is the right word for racism.
There's no point trying to reason with a racist, if they were rational people they wouldn't be one.
Hence the only response to racial hatred is to call it out and move on.
The definition is accepted by governments all over the world, including ours. The main disputes come from people who want to say racist things and aren't happy they aren't allowed to.
Just for clarity, I was stating it was the original stance of Hamas in response to Dolphs sensational misrepresentationIt's perfectly possible for someone like @Le Clandestin Brun to hold that position
The foundational history gives understanding, unfortunately. When will the international community get involved?
Never
Careful, you're beginning to sound like the extreme transgender lobbyists.Do you deny all racial groups the right to define what they find offensive?
Where have I stated or implied such a thing? Your behaviour is akin to that of which prompted the original thread creation.Do you want to throw it out for everyone, or just make a specific exemption for one racial group?
I don't know if that is true as it does sound quite far fetched and Facebook is full of fake attention seekers, however situations close to this occurring was my fear when I created this thread a couple years ago. The civilised worlds loss of critical thought to automated mindlessness.Someone in a school in Manchester I think it was got excluded from school cause he shouted "free Palestine".
