Neither of us could be bothered to cook last night, so I indulged a guilty pleasure and had a KFC ... also an excuse to try out Apple Pay on my Watch, having used it on the phone last week.

Worked first time and by the look of the bloke's face in the queue alongside mine, you'd think I'd just performed an act of witchcraft ...

So guys, how are you finding the watch?

I've got a Moto 360 at the moment that I use all the time but am considering the Apple watch maybe later in the year. I have an iPhone 6 Plus as well as a Note 4 so I can switch between Android and iOS whenever I want. I have no issue switching my personal and work phones around.

Anyone had a 360 or LG R and then moved to an Apple watch care to comment?

I don't have a Moto 360 but we have a couple of test models at work. Unsurprisingly, I prefer the fit and finish of my £600 Apple Watch versus the £230 Moto 360. The Moto 360 feels like a gadget, the (steel edition) Apple Watch feels like a proper watch.

What should be the Apple Watch's biggest strength - 3rd party apps - isn't a big advantage at the moment as they all take too long to load to be useful. The loading issues should improve with Apple Watch OS 2 later this year but it's far from guaranteed. The only software feature that's really wowed me is Apple Pay. Its implementation on the Apple Watch is perfect and genuinely convenient to use.

Apple have a very generous returns policy if you're on the fence.

just migrated back to an iphone from an android device (had a few years testing android and have decided i like ios more - afer the initial 10 mins messing with android customization) really wanna get myself one of these watches now.

my brother in law has one which ive had a play around with, currently i see no real need for one and cant work out what id use it for (minus telling the time) but it still really appeals to me.

maybe ill ask santa(wife) for one, she know im a sucker for watches

I barely use mine now, I go most days and realise I've not even unlocked it so don't even get any notifications etc.

Only time I do use it is to record my workouts, but other than that it's unused

That is quite surprising.

Do you get a lot of emails during the day that you have to check? If so, the watch definitely should be used more, its a much better way than grabbing your phone.

Music controls are also really useful, both in the house and when commuting.

Yeah in the gym it's a god send for music and recording workouts.

But outside of that it's not really something I remember to use a lot. I do get a lot of emails but have my phone on my desk anyway so see them on there. Then when I get home, realise I haven't unlocked it since putting it on in the morning. It's partly because most of the emails I get can't be read on an Apple Watch anyway due to the format so it's almost pointless.

Anyone running the latest IPhone and Watch Beta? Not sure if connected but my watch keeps crashing at least twice a day (have to hard reset it) and it also loses sync with my phone (which I then have to reset the phone).

I didn't have this with my space grey version (which I had to return due to nickel content).

I. Ran the iOS 9 beta with no issue, the watch was fine with no issue

Have returned back to iOS 8 now though so I'm ready to upgrade at right time

Did you manage to return the watch back to original (off the beta?), heard a few conflicting posts elsewhere saying you can't downgrade the watch but can the phone?

Yeah was no issue I had to restore the phone and re -pair the watch and then installed my backup from iOS 8

Had no issues at all, same on my iPad

that is not just a stand. it is a precise bit of engineering, art.

Yes. Also that's the triple stand. The one for just the watch and phone is a bit cheaper and would perhaps be my preference since I charge my phone by my bed but my iPad is usually by my computer (and doesn't need nightly charging), plus if this bigger iPad Plus/Pro is real then it'd swamp the stand anyway.
