The Apprentice 2008

Tonights showing has to be the most poorly edited apprentice of this series so far. The first 25 minutes of content was packed way way too much. Ice cream making, getting sales.. rush rush.

I was gonna say the same thing - it wasn't as compelling as previous episodes because everything felt so rushed and there was no sense of the task unfolding.

Disappointing lack of arguing this week :p Lucinda was surprisingly good as project manager - I was expecting her to crash and burn but I felt she was unlucky to lose. Had to laugh at the team arguing that the two drunks in the pub were acceptable market research!

Just read that, it's spot on! :)

I'm not so sure, seems like he is a right hater for popular or more confident people myself. He much prefers the quieter ones.

I don't think Simon deserved the final job, but maybe deserved a bit more of a chance. As Sugar said "You're a little out of your depth here" and he agreed and thanked him for the oppertunity!?! What the ***!?! If i got fired i would tell him what a mistake he has made. He lacked the balls to stand up for himself and paid the price in the board room.

Business isn't about people being nice, it's about getting the job done with the greatest profit, etc. You could be the nicest bloke in the world, with the hardest of pasts, but it doesn't count for toffee in business.

Jennifer is defo someone to watch out for, she is very sly and coniving. She would cut her own mothers throat for money and who ever gets in her way better be sure about it. She needs someone to stop her quick. (But god damn she is HHHOOOTTT! I'd so tap that. I best she is cracking in the sack).

Lindi got sacked last night because she failed to deliver the most important aspect of the task, of which she was in charge of; generating sales and making the executive decisions on it. Sugar was peeve'd about not consulting the farmers on the 'Exclusivity' deal, and i don't blame him. She was ultimately in charge of Jennifer and so the buck has to stop with her.

Lucinda proved she could be a good team leader in some aspects, and anyone is a good team leader if that team wins. She did do some key points though.... encouragement, praising, man management. She should have had a go at Lindi for her crappy management of her sub-team though. The loosing team leader is always up in the firing line and it is the risk they have to take.

I don't think Lindi should have gone. Jennifer should have done but then we wouldn't have had that quiet pause after her "cold" moment. :D

I hated Raef in the first show but I reckon he's the most clued up and sorted contestant thus far.

Here's my as usual delayed take on the last episode. It all came down to the last deal and without that I'm sure Claire would have got the chop. Still don't like Alex - he seems to constantly be looking for things to mention in the boardroom. Lucinder was better this task but I'm not sure she can be positive for more than two days at a time.

When did the whole shift half the responsibility to the second in command start though? It seems really prevalent in this series - I'm don't think a project manager should shift not only the sales but sales strategy over to someone else. Most of the tasks boil down to targeting the right audience for the goods so the responsibility for that should be held by the pm.

Gutted lindi is gone thought she was a cutee. :p

Still what else could he do.....

Still the better team lost that round but it's about making money and they made more.

What I found odd was that on that last deal Claire's sold I think 200 litres for £800. Meanwhile, the other team had two big sales, one for 500! litres and one for something like 150.. If they'd sold at the same price as other teams final sale then Lucinda's team would have made 2.6 grand easily beating them. Yet they never mention how much anyone's selling stuff for in the edit.

If you watch the clips on the Apprentice website it's quite interesting to see that a lot of what's been left out includes very sharp, intelligent comments by Kevin. Certainly he comes across as a real candidate in the clips on the website, something he fails to do on the program.

i dont think SImon did have what it takes to be honest, nice guy but cocked up his manager role royally (didnt help with Claire there tho, and she should have gone regardless - all making her PM did was fuel her ego with a fluke win)

as for Lucinda, she did well, shame they lost, and shame Lindi went, but out of the 3 would rather it be her.

Raef is looking better by the day, and that other Geeza Lee McQueen is ok too...
