Why has SAS got such a soft spot for Michael I wonder? I know we're watching a ridiculously over-edited version of events but he has come across so badly in task after task and yet on he goes, seemingly invulnerable as oldbag says.
Mind you, although I don't think Raef should have been the one to go, the hot air comment does have a slight ring of truth about it. As he's talking you always get a sense that he thinks of something to say, then runs it through a handy little mental thesauraus looking for ways to ratchet it up a few levels so he doesn't come across as too common. You could see it illustrated perfectly in that taxi scene where you just knew he couldn't bring himself to utter the word taxi. He ended up flailing around trying to find something, anything at all that was more impressive, yet all he could muster was people carrier...
