The Apprentice 2023

The only semi likeable one last night was the guy who actually put effort in to learn about the cannons etc for the tour. Everyone else was winging it, blaming each other or just arguing for the sake of it.

It's not been great since people starting using it as a stepping stone to hopefully get a 'celeb' career out of it rather than a proper business.

I watched it last night because of Antigua. I always wonder if their business ideas are so good why don't they just go on Dragons Den and cut out the embarrasment?

Then I remember some of the amazing ideas that made it into past finals, a bakery, pet grooming and so on and realise why :D

I used to watch it because it was cool when someone did something well

Now its because i love nothing more than rolling my eyes at a right bunch of derps messing everything up and blaming each other for it, while i claim that I would have got it right or done it better

It's always so cringe, I can never tell if they are actually stupid or if the edit makes it look worse than it is?

It's when they get to the business plans and they all get ripped apart for what seem to be the basics everytime. There must be people who actually have a clue apply for this but they would be boring on TV?

I'd love just once for someone to be decent all the way through and knock it out the park when it comes to the final eps but it just doesn't happen, got to be suitable for TV, got to be daft enough and up your own arse enough to make it entertaining and your business needs to be low risk low investor effort with as many holes in your plan as humanly possible.

The Missus loves it, mainly for the contestants making utter prats of themselves and ensuring they’ll never be employed beyond stacking shelves or asking “Do want to supersize that for an extra £1?”.

I enjoy the interview stage where everything they’ve claimed to have done is under the microscope and usually found wanting.

Jedi Jim was the last good one

Everything on TV is for entertainment whether or not it’s cringe. There’s always going to be someone who likes **** on TV.

For someone who seemingly dislikes it as much as you do, you are currently at 250% of the post count of the next lowest poster in this thread.

I love it, good cheesy telly. That Victoria woman would drive me nuts, she just doesn't stop talking. Cannon guy was ace. I don't think Sugar fired the right person though.
