The Apprentice - Series 9

^ +1 ... also their business ideas are absolutely horrendous, which makes you wonder if they're the actual ones they pitched to SAS or have just done for TV.

What a bunch of cockerels. Don't we say this every year though :p

I think it has a lot to do with the precedent Alan Sugar has set in previous series. Big characters do well.

I wonder what they get told in the pre show briefing.

"Behave like a complete **** son, you'll go far, and to add some extra impact on the audience, we need you to say a few lines the producer says will help your success *cough*make good tv*cough*".

Not sure how long I'll stick around in this series. It feels like you're watching the same tasks, the same people and the same SAS butt kicking at the end.

Why are they so fugly... I lolled reading their "lines"

"I have the energy of a Duracell bunny, sex appeal of Jessica Rabbit and a brain like Einstein." Darling you are fugly

"I’m an alpha male; I always get my own way and know how to make people do what I want." m8 you look like someone who got bullied whole life

I wont even talk about the guy with those eye-brows.. jesus christ.

I dont usually comment on peoples appearances... but seriously those lines are so ridiculously arrogant its sickening.

I didn't really want the woman who he fired to be fired. She has the potential to be totally crazy like Jo Cameron. The Susan Ma-alike should have gone.

Let's do a high five!
Really?

Urgh, this is horrific. It all seems ridiculous as well. 4 guys in their best suits rolling up to sell cat litter? It's just daft.

I quite enjoyed it even though it was just the same formulaic stuff.

The Alan Partridge looalike has potential to be entertaining.

So glad Sophie Lau didn't get fired. <3

Most cringeworthy bit for me (as in literally face-palming and unable to look at screen) was that young guy who keeps randomly bobbing and weaving when speaking (Tim) coming out with some sort of plea to Lord Sugar about how he hadn't performed and was going to prove himself..... after his team was announced the winners!
He seems like serious rabbit-in-headlights material to me, will start talking without having a clear idea of how he is going to articulate his points and ends up looking a muppet (like me at his age :o)

Anyway initial views on some candidates as follows:

-Neil: Arrogant but has a bit about him - could go far
-Zeeshan: Idiot, seems keen to poke fun at others
-Tim/Jordan: Far too green
-Jason: Has some obvious smarts (e.g. his point about trying to sell clothing while carrying random tat around), but maybe comes across as a bit of a toff. A bit like Raif in a previous series, I think if he can survive the early weeks and prove he has a personality while gaining a bit of experience in managing people (which he lacks having never been employed) he could do OK
-Luisa: Gobby, will come a cropper at some point
-Leah: Surprise package, thought she might be a bit soft but fights her corner and isn't afraid to grab credit and push her credentials

Need to see more from Francesa and Kurt next week, didn't really get much of a feel for them this time out.

This really was utter tripe.

I get its all a joke, but are the candidates in on it? I can't bring myself to believe they are taking themselves seriously.
