The Apprentice - Series 9

Will have to catch the episode where they are at the St. Albans Beer Festival as I was there and the "chocolate beer" they were promoting was rubbish haha

That was last night's episode.

Quite a lot of direct insults hurled towards Jason last night and a few swear words to boot. Don't recall that from The Apprentice before? It was quite comical.

It was quite nasty and personal. Ditto with Uzma and Rebecca. Jason, Zee and Alex are all arses. Alex will last the longest, but he won't go the distance. The trick at this stage is to work out who's not being covered much, because the people who last will be those aren't making fools of themselves at this early stage.

Series is utter crap though. Can't believe the BBC keep rolling this out now, particularly after the court case.

I suppose the change in format - partnership rather than employment - helps mitigate any criticism following the court case. Besides, Sugar won the court case. It would have been more of a concern if he had lost.

I watched both of these last night, lord Sugar banging on about not wanting any cliches then adding how "actions speak louder than words". Brilliant.

I dont know where they find these people, there all very bizarre and strange.

I remember someone on here saying that the programme is now "big brother for people who think they are above big brother" and i think thats pretty true

Jeeze... I don't think I like any of these characters in this season... it also makes me cringe when they're pretty much mostly sales types and all want to set up some form of online venture....

Welcome to the modern economy. Soon we'll all be able to stay at home all day and sell each other 'services'!

So far it's the usual ego car crash TV, which is why we watch it. I prefer to play fantasy Castro sex slave though. If I was going to lock one up for ten years it'd be Luisa, on account of the freaky but hypnotic manga eyes. And if I was going to be locked up for ten years it would be by Rebecca; if you're going to be bossed about it might as well be by someone who does it well.

Most interesting thing for me this week was near the start seeing a pump clip for the brewery of someone I went to school with. Generally a fairly poor episode.

One thing I was amazed didn't come up in the boardroom was the bit with the graphic designer, when two girls were literally arguing ACROSS the designer who they were sat either side of. Jesus christ, I'm amazed he didn't just walk out. In that situation even if you want to have an argument with a colleague, surely you'd at least have the decency to take them to one side first?!? I was convinced Karen would be bringing that one up, she loves giving girls a dressing down for failing the female race.

Just started watching... a ****ing bin chair... like seriously.

This programme must ruin people's careers trying to get a professional job after it they just come across as complete morons.

It's got wheels on it so i can wheel it out to the skip.

I do like LS's quips!

In all honesty, the box was awful. I was expecting more storage and stuff around the sides.

What the girls did was pretty much the classic, too many cooks spoiled the broth.

Got to say, as silly as the boys are, they did what sensible company would do, 1 lead designer who comes up with the concept and build it up with some elements from team. Simple because of the time scale but fairly well thought out. And the team as a whole going out to sell sell sell.

Can't wait for next week when boys and girls are mixed, this will surely show up some of the boys who were hiding behind the sale wins.
