The Apprentice - Series 9

Oh my goodness, this is so cringy.

Deeply disappointed they've talked up this school days theme and we've not even seen Luisa in a school uniform.

Embarrassing task. But the evening was saved by Rebecca on 'You're Fired'. I wouldn't have fired her, but she certainly fires me.</nerdy_stalker>

I can't stand Neil. It annoys me when people I cannot stand receive praise.
But then I think they're all idiots this year and relatively you could argue he stands out the most.
And yes that was cringe worthy last night. The rivalry (and consequent entertainment value added) between Francesca and Luisa was the reason why Rebecca got the boot.

AMS even stated he'd fire Francesca if she brought the wrong person back in. He's full of hot air. Who else could that have been directed at other than Louisa?

Lastly - did anyone else notice Leah looked like she'd been crying in one of the in-taxi shots? It was quite early on.

Yeah I had noticed that too, I have a feeling that she will be one of the next two to leave the process. She was so far out of her depth as PM it was painful to watch.

Louisa showed that she might actually have some business sense if she can just keep her gob shut. Still unsure of what Jason is doing there but he's fun to watch.

Neil would do well to pull back a bit.

He was so forward with Leah it was painful to watch. Yes, have a strong opinion but the guy was acting like he was team leader.

It was laughable how they blamed the failure of the task on the motivational speaker. "If you hadn't spent that £600!!" *shakes fist*. In my opinion I would have turned that around and said "if we hasn't spent that, we'd have end up compensating them more.. It was the best bit of the day".

I feel they put too much emphasis on spending the money vs the profit margin. They could've spent £3000 and completely satisfied the client and not had to pay back any as a goodwill refund, or underpaid and ended up giving 33% back because they skimped.

I even thought that plank of wood and blind ring throw games were better than the pseudo army sumo nonsense

Yeah I found it strange that they pinned the loss on the motivational speaker, their team was so bad I was expecting them to pay 50% compensation but it saved them. The correct team won IMO, their army theme seemed a lot better drilled than the 'school' theme which had me cringing at nearly every session (blind throwing aside), waffle from all sides with no real learning points or continuity.

I did wonder though if it was a bit of a test, Sugar putting motivational speaker in as 'bait' because his view was that the teams should be able to find someone in their midst to deliver it if they are worth their salt.

Right now I'd have Neil down as favourite, initially I wasn't impressed but he has come into his own over the past couple of episodes. As for him being forward with Leah, it was nothing compared to her with Zeeshan last week.

Leah is definitely eye-candy, she was happy enough exploiting her "erotic capital" during the drinks selling task so seems a bit unnecessary to get all uppity about it now.
