also when this ends, what else would i find to go on about in forums all the time. I'm going to miss my weekly apprentership talk. Its almost turned into a blog for me. Must stop and go to the pub more on work nights.

How do you tailor your interview to a specific company, lol, the whole idea is you be yourself and they will find out whether you'll fit into the team.

This is why i'd suggest you are more like Tuan. AKA "the Planner" :p Look how he ended up.

You can stack yourself up with all the knowledge you want but if you dont play "the game" then you'll end up fired, paul tried to play up to the interviewers because he was most likely nervous about the interviews, the competition he faced etc, and as a result they formed an opinion that is slightly removed from the way he really is.

SAS imo is basically a chancer who has surrounded himself with the right people in order to get were he is today, he can basically be blagged because he's like a 5 page pop up book, no depth whatsoever, its absurd the way he identifies with michelle just because she worked on a checkout even though plenty of 15-19 year olds have done this and similar jobs.

Best of a bad bunch for me have been Ansell, because he's a likeable guy and thats important for a future leader, and Syed because he has plenty of drive and ambition.

Syed? You have to be kidding. He's a liar and a loose cannon, nothing more than a very glib, slick con artist. He'll say absolutely anything if he thinks it suits his purpose, regardless of what it may commit the company to, and with absolutely no consideration as to the implications of actually having to deliver. Moreover, he's an idiot. A hundred chickens to provide the topping for 100 pizzas? God help anyone who actually gave him control over any real budget.

SAS was absolutely right about him, he's far too big a chance to take. I wouldn't trust him any further than I could throw Broadcasting House.

If Michelle is self-employed, she doesn't have to close anything. She just stops taking (and seeking) wok for a few weeks, or months. And when the show finishes, if she doesn't win, she goes home, picks up the phone, rings her contacts and starts chasing work again. If she has the skills, contacts and repuation she must have to earn that on a regular basis, she'll have little or no difficulty in getting going again. It certainly doesn't make her a liar.


Nor, for that matter, is Ruth's stance totally unbelievable. Sure, she was offered a sabbatical and shares, but without knowing what the share price was, we don't know what that actually amounts to. If the shares were 10p, for instance, then her options amounts to a relatively paltry sum, and it came with the catch of having to work for the company for an unspecified period. That may have been a year, two years? Whatever. And if so, I can quite understand why she may not be prepared to commit to that. Suppose she loses the Apprenticeship, but Sugar, or anyone watching, sees her on TV week after week and decides they want to employ her. If she's locked down to a contract, she can't exploit the publicity a strong losing candidate will get, can she?

Frankly, if I was going on a show like this, I wouldn't agree to a lockdown afterwards either. If you're the type of person Ruth obviously is, and that you need to be to have that kind of drive, she won't be stuck for work afterwards. Or not for long, anyway. Besides, if her currentemployer regard her that highly, and she offers to go back, they'll agree and take her anyway. So why tie herself down, unless the incentive is VERY large?
 
And the final proof that the final hasn't been filmed yet - I just watched the filming of one of the two candidates walking out of Brentwood House and getting into SAS's car, the Roller with the AMS1 plate and NOT a taxi!

what series are we on of the Apprentice?

I have only watched this series and I absolutely love it, what are everyone's thoughts on how this series compares to past ones? I might be tempted to pick up a past series on DVD if its available.

Edit: Wow, there's a serious amount of info there. One thing I love about the intarweb is that you can get in touch with the people - forums, blogs etc. It's so cool, the world really is a small place :)
