The Apprentice

All the candidates just seem lacking. They have no direction, organisational skills or ideas. The fact that they can bicker amongst each other constantly, shows they are not people you'd want to pay a 6 figure salary. It's not professional to act like that in the work place and it is definately not professional to act like that in front of the owner of the company.

I'm at a loss as to why Suger keeps doing this show - The calibre of person is just so low.

he does it because it's a bit of fun. easy work and he's probably getting a nice wedge for it.

I would do it.

Turn up in the morning give out some tasks then come back and sack someone each evening doesn't sound too hard does it :D

He still hasn't used his phrase "as sure as i have a hole in my ***" yet. My wife and I still use that phrase when we are sure it's a classic :p

It's a TV programme which exists purely for entertainment value, the contestants are all a bunch of chancers and does anyone watching it really care who ends up working for Alan anyway :) :)

Next series I'm going to buy a bunny, name it 'winner' and enter it into the competition. It would own the tasks up 'til now:
Task 1: Winner could hide in the background thus getting through task 1
Task 2: Winner would know exactly what pets want
Task 3: Winner could be a messenger in the day - rabbits run fast. In the evening he could let people pet him for £1 a go - oh wait that's what the girls did anyway... it would be less smutty with a bunny though.

He gets paid nothing for doing the show. So either it's good advertising for Amstrad, or he geniunely feels his company needs a new employee and he thinks this is the best way of interviewing them

Lol. You believe that? How Naive do you want to be?

Amstrad are turd so all the advertising in the world probably wouldn't help. He made his money through property anyway and he doesn't need to advertise that.

I'm sure he's getting a comfortable slice of the action. That explains why he gets rid of the fat ugly bird and leaves in the annoying one to cause more arguments and the reasonably ok looking one for eye-candy.

And if he does't get paid then it's even worse as it's ALL about boosting his already over-inflated ego. He comes across so badly in every interview I've ever seen.

Having said that, it's quality viewing and he's great to watch in the boardroom!

For the first time I actually fully agreed with one of Sir Alan's firings. Gerri had done nothing.

Who will win...? Well I can't see a 'Badger' yet, or even the eventual 'who, where and how?' winner either.

Still, Trey's good comedy value, Jadine's a hardcore nutter and Katie looks very odd. I love it! :D

I'd never heard of Amstrad before the Apprentice. Didn't realise he made his money in property though.

Who cares, it's disgusting. It would be better if instead of firing them, Sugar shot them in the chest with a rifle. Then in the final show he can shoot himself.

Now that's good TV.

As an economist, I thought you would be thrilled at the series :)
