did anyone noticed the way Andy touched and kissed women? thought it was.....creepy.

No wonder he was so pleased to be put on the girls team :D

Was that a full on snog with Gerri at the end

Haha pantomime as usual. I wonder if when you apply for the show Sir Alan's team look through them or the BBC producers.

Great TV but if this is the best the business world has to offer then we're doomed.

He looks like he's one of those touchy feely faggy creeps. You know the guy in the group that watches chick flicks and says "Awwww" when he sees a puppy.

I think this is the first series that Sir Alan has had a real input into choosing the candidates, if the radio is to be believed!

Bankrupt waiter. Choice.

Fat chip shop worker with degree in tourism. Diamond.

Obviously they choose them to make good TV. Picking 16 high-flying businessmen would be pretty boring. They need chumps who are going to mess up.

Plus - who really wants to do a 15 week job interview for a miserable £100k. If you've got the skills it's not worth much. These people just want to be on TV.

Nobody is going to look at a brown splodge on top of their coffee and make the connection between it and the Eclipse logo.

And Tre has one of those faces you just want to hit.

Didn't like him at first but I think he is one of the best so far. Although he was made to look like an idiot over the naming issue.

the uk version seems pathetic compared to the us version - trump may have his business flaws but he had genuine allure - the us version has top wharton and harvard grads - not the be all and end all but telling nonetheless.

this series should be good as rumour has it that a couple get together on the show (as opposed to behind the scenes or after production) but then argues in a challenge which compromises their positions and SAS is not too happy.

all in all this is good entertainment but hardly business at its highest pinnacle.

100k is not all that great a salary for a top person - they could be running their own business or working in high finance or the city for that within three years of graduating. with the US version the allure was working for trump - sugar does not really compare

New series starts on Wednesday @ 9pm on BBC1. Who else is excited? :D

Does anyone know when/if it's repeated.

Miss it as watching the footy and recorded Grand Designs.

Sometime i need my Sky+ to be able to record at least 3 prog's at the same time :)

After watching last nights show and the last season or two, I find it really hard to believe that these are the nations brightest young managers and entrepreneurs

Im sure that anyone who works for a fairly decent organisation can look around and see someone who is equally as talented if not better than some of the people on there. After all it is just a game show and i'm sure better candidates would not have been picked just because they are not as mouthy or controversial as Jadine.

My wife said at the start "he sounds like a creepy car salesman" about 30 seconds before it flashed up "andy - car salesman".

I bet he regrets throwing his macho hat in the ring - "if you guys are doing it, i will to" before a furious backtrack.

Very amusing :D

Yeah but they ARE supposed to be experienced. The premise is that they are the "best" business minds in Britain...which obviously can't be supported with that kind of starting salary.

Doesn't the US Apprentice offer $1m starting salary?

I thought it was rubbish. The pool of talent they have recruited is poor. Are these suppose to be the brightest? I doubt it. Anyone with any talent would know not to work for Amstrad and the cheesey faced Sugar.

I cant see all this doing Sugar any favourites. Series 2 didnt exactly work out in his favour after michelle left to have a baby (which didnt happen) and then started her own business.

Alan is getting a bit boring now. They should have asked some other self-made man/women to take his position. richard Branson would be a great candidate but i doubt he would be interested in this publicity and entertainment stunt that is the Apprentice
