The Asus ROG SWIFT PG278Q – a 27” 1400p 144Hz Monitor with G-SYNC

The lack of information since it was announced in jan along with constantly delays, again with no information has killed all enthusiasm I had for this and rather than pre-ordering will just go with an alternative until another manufacturer brings it to market for a better price..... anyone but asus tbh.

I believe that there was a link to Asus earlier in this thread. They said (IIRC) something like they were having a few problems with getting a reliable and high yield overclock to 144Hz on the TN panels.

I've managed to squirrel away some money for this, (a miracle really, Nursery fees are butchering me), i'm going to wait on user reviews first though as i'm really happy with the Eizo, I may end up with both if the swift's any good.

I thought it did have a vesa mount?

You Sir, are correct. It is indeed VESA mountable

Show me an RoG Swift @1600P and 30" then you have a desirable product.

27" TN panel 120Hz refresh sounds very 2013 to me.

24" is about the sweet spot for desktop gaming monitors. 27" is nice and an acceptable size with the 1440 resolution.

I see 30" as a TOTAL downside over 27". I don't want to sit in front of a 30" monitor for gaming.

27", 1440, G-SYNC and 144Hz is not a 2013 product at all.
