The battle for survival!

Should Newcastle stay up(won’t say they will until it’s certain) we will be the only team in the history of the premier league to not be relegated after failing to win in their first 14 games, still won’t be as good as the Sheffield United great escape though

Probably none. Once you remove allowable losses and covid related losses, their losses will be far less and it's been reported that Everton have already reached an agreement with the PL over future spending restrictions - this would explain why Everton spent, in net terms, little to nothing this season.

I don't see how anyone can think Everton are staying up looking at their run in compared to burnley. May as well modify that ground now the 4 posts are in place to be a car park.

Everton will stay up because Burnley are utter and complete dross, whereas Everton are just dross. Burnley can't beat Norwich.

If you truly think Everton are going down get a bet on, they can had at almost 3/1 for the drop.

Exactly, pile in if you are so confident.

The thing you need to remember when looking at run-ins, is teams at the bottom get less wins from 'easy' fixtures than you might expect (compared to better teams). Everton might not get many points but they don't need to because the have more points than Burnley already, and Burnley won't get many from their games either. Don't forget Burnley have only won 4 games all season, less than any every other team. Everton have won twice as many games as them. They might get draws in some weeks when Everton is losing but that won't help them massively unless it's a consistent theme.

Few weeks down the line and I'm still unconvinced that Everton are dead certs to go down, they have more points than Leeds and Burnley and their fixtures don't look too bad. Watford are already down and then the have home games against Brentford and Palace, both of which are in mid-table mediocrity with no chance of either getting into Europe or being relegated. Really Everton should be targeting a minimum of two wins from those 3 fixtures.
Obviously away to Arsenal on the final day could be tricky assuming Arsenal are still fighting for a CL place but they have a game in hand. It's also not inconceivable that Arsenal already have top 4 sewn up by the time Everton travel there, e.g. if Aresnal beat Spurs then all other results are irrelevant, they would still finish 4th if they lost to Everton. Leeds have to play Chelsea and Burnley have a game away at Spurs.

You can now get 12/1 on Everton to go down so free money waiting there for those who are certain they are getting relegated.
