The Battlefield 4 Thread 2015

Sooo... get in the other thread :p.

Got to admit I am tempted by hardlines if everyone(bar a few) have abandoned bf4 :(.

I checked around 8ish and no one was on so I left.
 
No-one was on at 8, decided to watch some Heist gameplay.

Cities is a brilliant game.

Hardline not so much...
 
Don't worry, everyone will end up buying it when they realise that's what most of the others are playing.

Happened with BF4 and history will only repeat itself.
 
Who's bought Hardline then?

E; I'm only playing BF4 as I wait for GTA V, and I'm always up for a game of FIFA with one of the few that has it.
 
I'll probably buy hardline but....

1. only if most of the regulars on here that I play with have/are getting it; I think Tony is the only one so far :p
2. def. not buying it for a week or so until I see what state the game is in, not having a repeat of bf 4 where the beta was fantastic but the finished game was a buggy piece of **** for the first 6 months....

edit:

won't be wasting money on premium though, would just get the base game

Can't help but think hardline will be abandoned by the regulars once gta5 gets released although that could be years :p.

Seems a waste of money to me :(.
 
Yup, main reason I am trying to hold of purchasing it...

But like you said, gta 5 could get delayed again :o

TBH, I can't see GTA 5 lasting that long for MP though, think it will be great fun for maybe a couple of months but after that, I can see many losing interest.

The next massive FPS shooter for me will be battlefront, CAN NOT WAIT!
 
I'll probably play GTA V religiously for a few weeks before weaning away from it and dipping back in once the mods arrive.

I really struggle to keep playing games without any sort of end game.

I think GTA V has limited life for many players because it brings nothing really new other than an FPS mode. Most people I know have already played it to death on 360. Dare I say it, but I think it will be a bit of a fad.

I have only been playing BF4 for a week, but I quite enjoy it. I can see why so many of you are ready to move onto something different though. But the grass is not always greener! It concerns me with Hardline that it is yet another release that will have been developmentally focused on the current gen consoles, and it will likely bring all of those limitations with it (see CoD: AW as an example).

Not seen Battlefront, so will take a look.

My background is arena shooters, so I am personally looking forward to the new unreal tournament game. I have been playing the pre-alpha and it looks like it will be good fun. I think they could have gone full on parkour with it though, which would have made the movement physics so much more interesting. As it stands the wall jumping feels a bit clunky and unintuitive but it is pre-alpha so I guess there will be a lot of improvment (hopefully) during the development.

I just hope they dont nerf it for the console market. Unfortunately that seems to be the common trend now because of the market share that consoles command.

Only played a couple of maps on BF4 yesterday, but I am slowly learning how it is done! :D

HazardO - sorry I left TS in a hurry mate, the wife came in huffing and puffing because I had been on the PC too long! lol :p

I probably wont have much time to play tonight, but should hopefully be on Tuesday night from 5-9 (ish).

np mate, I was on a sunken dragon conquest anyway (Which I think is actually quite a good map!).
I'm back on Tuesday as well.

I picked up a teammate's medic kit to revive him last night, and ended up with his SAR-21. That thing is a beast!

My newly acquired d-eagle is proving effective too. With the UNICA 6 I was getting 0.25 KPM with an accuracy of 14%. d-eagle 1.96 KPM accuracy 23%.

Still loving the ACW-R as well, it's my most accurate assault/carbine by a long way and reliably shreds anything at close-medium distance.
