Firestorm is probably the only map I'll bother with. It does feel lacking graphically compared with bf3 version though. The wall on caspian beggars belief.
 
Nexus Scar-SV, Ace, QBU, SKS depending on what you wanna do with it.

Metro 2014 shows just how horrific gun fights are in BF4, the Second Assault content is so broken it's just crazy.

For a AAA studio, this shows nothing but contempt for their customer base.

Insurgency is good fun I have owned it for while but its not like BF the maps are smaller there are no vehicles and no unlocks instead all the weapons, mods, armour are available at the start. You get given points to kit out your solider so you have select carefully what you want you can always change the set up after each death.

Its a hardcore shoot the hit reg is spot on the developers are great you can't run and gun or you will die a lot, think of it as crossover between CS: source & red orchestra 2 I highly recommend it for anyone how enjoys hardcore tactical shooters.

Want a DMR that is best for medium range and doesn't have crazy recoil (can deal with vertical but not side to side recoil that well...) whilst having pretty good ADS accuracy even when moving.

Just had a quick look at symthic and I think the QBU is probably the best for me??? (seems to be very good overall) Shame the magazine size is very low though...


And yup metro just doesn't work on bf 4, you need the bf 3 infantry gameplay style i.e. quick and fluid for metro and all the different types of grenades and m320 etc. have made the map 10 times worse than what it was in bf3, dread it whenever that launcher which can fire 3 grenades/LVGs comes out...

Will give metro another try once servers kick for m320, lvg, grenades etc.

Anyone tried the UCAV on metro yet :D

Also, the paper airplane might be pretty good fun!

Nexus, the SKS was just ****ing godly for me. So much so I actually felt like I was cheating using it lol..was a kill machine. Never tried the others though because it just felt so beastly. Only reason I stopped using it, was because I felt dirty doing so.
 
Suarez uses Dogebot such.aim.exe

QBU is prob my fav (only used it on private servers). SKS is also good, I'd suggest using shorty / g18 or summat as your side arm. edit 2..Muzzle Break is very effective on DMR's ;)

Oh and all the things that made Metro fun in BF3 aren't in BF4 so...yeah, map sucks ass

Well I finally got the pistol and DMR unlocks to work.

Had a few games on Metro, think it is best to stick to no explosive servers as it was just a M320, XM25 and V40 spamming fest. Also the Russians seem to have the big advantage of getting to the centre flag faster, and being in a better position.

Also still getting sound loop crashes in about 1 in 3 games.

I've been using the SVD a bit lately for both long range and short range work, only really struggle if someone is literally in your face, some people don't like it as the damage at range drops off quicker than some of the other DMRs but I like the higher muzzle velocity and max range on it and if you've any degree of skill is trivial to control the recoil in closer range stuff.
 
Wish I could play any map, getting sound loop crash, any map about 5 mins into game, was quite happy before the update.

Played Syder for a while and watched Banshee instead.

Think I will try the QBU out for a while on bigger more open maps and use the SKS for smaller maps.

What setup did you use with the SKS Tony?
 
I'm gonna give the M39 and ACE a run out, always loved the M39 and I like the ACE series. Playing L.A. Noire today, much fun, nice to be able to kick back and chill.
