Besides need a break from bf 4 anyway, game is just becoming frustrating to play (with the crashes, dodgy hit reg., maps and annoying weapons/vehicles)

Granted I've not played the SA maps but I think I've died once in a tank to the gunship and twice on foot in the whole time I've been playing and they are fairly easy to deal with in a jet if whoever can actually fly them (i.e. not me) can be bothered to.

We've started rolling out a new game update for the PC version of Battlefield 4. Among other items, this update addresses the so called "sound loop crash" that caused the game to freeze. You may experience some downtime while this update is rolling out.

Feb 25 PC Game update notes
-Fix for the so called “sound loop crash” issue that caused the game to freeze
-Fix for an issue that sometimes prevented players from shooting while in the gunner position of a vehicle
-Fix for the headshot icon appearing incorrectly at non-headshot deaths, such as suicide or dying of an explosion
-General stability improvements

Mantle
-General stability and performance improvements
-Fix for an issue that caused the sky/fog to be either too bright or too dark when Mantle was used
-Added on-screen video memory utilization statistics with “Render.DrawScreenInfo”
 
since using older amd drivers i don't crash or have any issues whatsoever. so no mantle for me while these are that stable.

It appears on the forums others have started showing this already, this is completely ridiculous. It's taken them what 3 weeks or longer to attempt to fix the sound loop mess and then this makes it even more broken.

God their in house testing is terrible.

love how they call it "so called" :o

anyway.........I can now play Metro and I got the F2000. I can't see why Battlelol are making such a big deal over the assignment, as if they are pros and can't get assist points in one match because they get headshots every single time. :rolleyes:

Chuck (spam) some grenades and it comes easily ;)
 
I didn't even bother playing last night. I had a look on Steam thinking I will get a new game and...nothing exciting. Same on Origin.

Then I heard Dean Rocket Hall is quitting Dayz before it even turns Beta so another disappointment.

I think I might quit gaming altogether, sell my PC and buy an iMac 27, and just spend all my evenings working.

I actually just decided to play on a quieter server last night and actually it turned out to be pretty good. Sidewinder and gord joined later on.


On a side note, I did buy Loadout a week or so ago. It's actually quite fun, as long as you're not expecting too much from it.

I went on BL around 8-10 and didn't see many people playing so for the first time in ages.... watched crappy TV instead of playing bf 4 :p :(

Playing through bioshock infinite again and that new thief game looks quite good.

Is the F2000 as good as it is in BF3
 
I want to go back to Quakelive really. Though it took me 3 months to hone my mouse skill to finish top 5 every round. And I don't get on with this Deathadder BE at all. I played a round a few days ago (I only play insta-kill railguns) and I didn't even get any kills lol!
 
Grabbed the shotguns unlocks earlier, now all I need to unlock are the knives.

Had a fun few games last night with Netphreak and Gord. We didn't start untill after 10 so I'm guessing that you were watching TV by then Nexus.

Yeah, knifes and PDWs are all I have left now, not bothering with PDWs though as they are ****......


Yup would have been! Was checking BL every 20 or so mins between 8-10 but only like 4-5 people on (and all different servers)........

Yeah that shotgun looks ridiculously good! In LVLcaps video, he was pretty much one shotting everyone :p :o

IIRC, the UTS and hawk 12G seem to be the favourites for shotguns (and now the DAO 12)
