And I still play better as a lone Wolf. If im in an active squad I find myself focusing on where I should be going and trying to work with my squad mates and dieing horrifically frequently as a result.

I prefer music to TS and just roam aboot in my own little bubble of gunfire and grenades.

Same as. I was only getting one or two decent squads per day anyway.
 
I played on 32bit with 14.1 drivers and it was many times more stable and smooth running than the 64bit with mantle. By default the graphics settings are disabled on 32bit so everything runs on low. I get high fps and it runs perfectly, but it still crashes sometimes on map change. Increasing my page file to system managed (12gb) has prevented the memory leak problem that i was having. I switched back to 64bit and mantle and put everything on low and it was definitely a lot worse, more stutter, more lag more artefacts. I definitely recommend playing the game on 32bit version if you want stability and faster running over graphics quality.

edit..Interview tomorrow morning at 9am....9am, don't they know I am a lazy no job lay about...9am is like...night time still :'(
 
Todays Patch has ballsed up my game as it now crashes as soon as it attempts to load the level. BF4.exe has stopped working every time now.

It appears on the forums others have started showing this already, this is completely ridiculous. It's taken them what 3 weeks or longer to attempt to fix the sound loop mess and then this makes it even more broken.

God their in house testing is terrible.


Anyone else getting this problem?

No problems with the new patch here at the moment.

Only once did the server not load the next map, I might have borked it by alt-tabbing as it was loading haha.

Glad I am not the only one. Game crashes for me also every time I try and load a map.

Was fine before.
 
We are aware that some of you have been experiencing some crashing since the patch this morning. Below is a workaround for this problem:

1. Go into your game directory (D:\Origin Games\Battlefield 4, or whatever is the default one)
2. If you have a “user.cfg” file, open it in notepad.
3. Delete the command line “UI.DrawEnable 1”
4. Save the file
5. Start the game

This file is not automatically created by the game so if you do not have it, you will need to create the user.cfg file and include the line mentioned in step 2. Once created Save the file and try to launch the game. It will mostly likely crash once more. After it does, delete the user.cfg and try again.

Not bothering with the game now! Well done DICE.......

Besides need a break from bf 4 anyway, game is just becoming frustrating to play (with the crashes, dodgy hit reg., maps and annoying weapons/vehicles)

Fixed the bf4 stopped responding by deleting the "UI.DrawEnable 1" line in my user.cfg , then had black screen when joining servers but I then updated punkbuster and now works again :) ,just heads up if people have same probs
