just laughing as people cry about reg on server while i am just running round getting 50 kills with robocop mg4 :p

only issue i have now is no sound which is only on tdm anyway.
 
My mate Rainbow's BF3 vid. Damn that boy is 2strong. Oh B flag @ Bazaar, the single greatest flag of all time.


The dude's got skills but that video shows some of the reasons I never liked BF3 as much as the older BF titles, it's very arcadey, bunny hopping and all. (they tried to make it too much like CoD rather than older BF games)
Oh, and the horrible blue tint.

Some good tough games tonight, had a decent clan on the other side who were very coordinated.

We could have taken them a few times but sadly the rest of our team bar the OcUK lot were shocking. Couldn't hold a flag all night.

Got to say thought the AWS is amazeballs and the new Javelin Wombo Combo is much fun!
 
Don't want to throw hackusations about (especially as you can't really tell for sure in a video produced like that) but a lot of that video is showing the signs of a low fov aimbot :( (If the guy is legit then I apologise but its tripping my instincts watching some bits of that).

OK, in my shame I've yet to change Staff shell on my tank loadout. I've never seen the benefit of Reactive, if I'm dropping staff for HMG is it also worth Autoloader instead of Reactive and aim for the 'hit hardest, quickest' mentality, knowing I'll get badly damaged in the process? Nexus?

You will struggle 1v1 against people chaining main/staff against a tank even after the staff changes :S though in some ways its academic as some people are getting the ability due to a bug to chain 5x main, 5x staff before getting the cooldown between shots.

Yes my rig is easily capable of maxing it at 1920x1200, x4 msaa and all the other doolally. Yes it does look terrible, (and tbh even on max settings its a bit ugly, it aint no moh 2010). Playing with settings so low kinda felt like cheating for me.

I play with a mix of ultra and low settings now just because it makes things a lot cleaner (and I can cap at 125fps most of the time which minimises tearing with vsync off at 120Hz) - for instance with ultra settings the inside of building (when looking into them from a distance) can be a lot darker due to the higher quality shadows and ambient occlusion making it harder to see players inside (unless your playing normal mode and justt spam spot in the general direction).

Even with lowered settings, the reg/sync issues are still very prevalent. I remember on here stating in the bf3 thread that i was dying after 4 seconds of getting into cover. People called bs on that, it's even more pronounced on bf4.
 
I've mostly given up trying to play it seriously now I'm more familiar with the game I'm noticing more and more issues due to the low client update rate compared to games I'm used to like quake 3.

Mostly just lolling about on normal mode servers with a sniper rifle now though the old instincts keep kicking in and I go running in with the g18 til I run out of ammo - which seems to wind people up no end - getting tons of grief for killing people with it when they have ars or carbine.

The game is a hackers paradise, client side reg. A joke, hence theres so many hacks/cheats for bf3/4. Bfbc2 started out using client side reg, then after complaints from the community it was switched to server side. Thats when it really improved as a game. It gets a lot of stick as its seen as thje poor console port, it's 10x the game that bf3/4 will ever be.

Heck, even the last two moh games have better netcode/reg/sync than bf3/4, multiplayer in both done by dice. In those two games, you shoot someone you see first they go down. Ive watched a few "competitive" matches streamed on bf4, it's a laugh a minute. How could anyone consider this game, (i use the word game loosely) a basis for competitive online play.
 
Yup, everything on low/of except for mesh and sweetfx config FTW, game still looks great anyway imo, not so much for there being less crap floating around etc. but more so because the game just feels more responsive (despite getting 70+ FPS with high settings)


**** this game and the people who play it, soooooo many ****ing noobs, was raging like mad earlier on when playing against those BRU guys, not because we were losing but because of our **** team, literally everyone camping everywhere but the damnn flags....

Activ radar users can go to hell! Seriously can people not lead their targets, fire in short controlled bursts etc. at all??? All you get is the AA faggots spamming activ, every jet/heli I took down tonight was purely from the cannon, it really isn't hard ffs....

Really have to laugh at DICE's statement before the game came out, "we are bringing skill back into this game"

- mbt law
- anti heli mines

Yeah skill in its purest form right there.....

Granted staff and MBT law isn't as bad now but still annoying!

That AWS is amazing, absolutely destroying squads with it and that was without any unlocks except the holo sight lol....

Auto loader is absolutely pointless, you shouldn't be overheating at all if you use the HMG right.

But tank gameplay comes down to how you play, if you want to do well, you need to be defensive otherwise you won't last long unless you have infantry around you, a great gunner and repper....

Fire the HMG in 1-2 bullet bursts, no more unless they are really close up....

Never use sabot on infantry unless you really have too.

Be aware of your positioning and what flags the enemy team has, they got one behind you, go way back and cap it otherwise, 2 RPG's to your ass and you are down.

And of course, mini map every 2 seconds!

Drive away if you need too, no point standing your ground if you aren't going to survive/win i.e. when against two tanks.

Had a few good rounds with nexus, josh sidewinder and a few others before the cheating accusations came out on parcel storm (nexus :p)

edit:

although my aim with the HMG was absolutely terrible tonight, missing easy targets and not finishing them of quickly enough, have heard good things about the canister shell so might give it a try....
