Drive away if you need too, no point standing your ground if you aren't going to survive/win i.e. when against two tanks.

Self preservation is the one I fall down on heh - way too often I just get in the zone and go go go til out of ammo or dead or both. (Never get in a vehicle with me).

Canister shell is good for choppers, basically a big shotgun shell/claymore mine. Today im ashamed to admit i was chasing ultra long range sniper kills. Trying to beat my bf3 record of 2346m done with an M98B, im only upto the SV98 so far and its not much use for punching out to range. Really need to unlock the SRR, (.408 cheytac) shot with it in rl a few weeks ago, 2000 yards with ease.

I'm really only messing about with sniper rifles no doping, snap shots but tempted to unlock the M98B due to the muzzle velocity (not to worried about the difference in bullet drop to the SRR).

Tbh, bf3/4 dont do 7.62mm/.338/.408 cheytac very well. The bullet drop in game is laughable, 7.62 dropping at 200 yards, it doesnt happen with a DMR such as the M39, (basically an accurized m14 let alone a purpose built tool like the M40 series. .338 lapua magnum, very straight shooting out to a thousdand yards, .408 cheytac is only warming up at that range. Very gentle on the shoulder too compared to .50bmg.

^^ Its one of the things I noticed when spectating people aimbotting

i.e. compare and contrast these 2 one with DMR and one with sniper rifle:

(Sniper rifle)

(DMR - shot at the end is approx 500m IIRC)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xtziSCV1IMw

The 200m shots are pretty much still over the top of the player model whereas when I'm shooting 200-300m with a sniper rifle I'm having to aim approx 1.5 player heights above.

EDIT: I guess thats partly why they don't want to put higher power scopes on the DMRs - might have to practise my long range shooting with one a bit I mostly use em unscoped to run and gun.

A dmr and a sniper rifle are the same, (or should be) DMR means designated rifle man, uses the same weapon as a sniper but isnt trained in the same fieldcraft skills. Dice have this idea that DMR weapons are different from sniper rifles, theyre not.

Hence ingame the crazy variances between such weapons are so stupid, in bf3 i used the m40 an awful lot on tdm, short and medium range. Pretty flat shooting, switched to the m39 emr one evening. Couldnt hit a barn door with it. Despite being the same calibre as the m40. Cmon dice, lets have at least some semblence of realism.

DMRs (designated marksman rifle) are completely different to LRRs in the real world. One thing Dice apparently got right with this mess of a game.

Theyre all heavy barreled target rifles, yes in real life a semi auto will be slightly less accurate than a dedicated bolt action, (preferably a single shot breech loaded weapon, very rare). Less moving parts in a bolt gun so less going on to upset the shooters position when chasing long shots. Which is all down to trigger control, breathing, stance etc.

Regardless if you transplanted the sniper rifles in this game into the realworld a good condition 80 would outperform them :| (and thats probably not an exaggeration).

A cheap eastern european shoulder kicker would do better lol. With the exception of cz arms, very few european armaments companies can match the yanks for rifles. Accuracy international are a very exclusive exception. The usmc m40 rifles are exquisite, basically they dont leave much of the old remmy 700 action in place.

There is literally nothing there that would indicate aimbot.

There is quite a few things if you have the experience to pickup on them that _could_ indicate possible cheating but as before I wouldn't say they were definite from isolated incidents in one video without spectating the player awhile.

Its hard to explain it all - much of which is instinct from many many years of FPS gaming and keep it clear and shortish.

For instance there is a style to the way people use strafe movement in coordination with mouselook to fine tune their aim that suffers a disconnect in some cases when someone is botting but with lower FOV settings on the aimbot its a lot harder to pickup on and would really need spectating to be sure.

Likewise with the transitions and precision of target aquisition pre-ads, going ads and when and the nature of the transition from aqusition to shooting that with a lot of experience you start to notice the difference in style between someone who is legit and someone who is aimbotting.

Other possible give aways include reacting to reviving players when the animation hasn't started and/or is visually obscured but again isolated incidents in the video might be due to many other explanations and/or cues that the player picked up on but aren't so readily observable in the video (can't always know what they've seen before, etc. or might have missed a cue they noticed from being a better player and so on).

For instance take a look at the reload about 2:12ish in the video.

EDIT: Also video has some variations in playback speed (not sure if editing or the game) which tends to make normal actions look more cheaty.

will be up for some mg4 destroying later again :D

as to the bf3 video, hardcore shooting in spawn or bottlenecks. that is all nothing special.

Noted! :p

So Autoloader doesn't increase your main gun rate of Fire? Other than HMG for Staff shell, which I changed tonight, that's my load out as well Nexus.

Nope, autoloader just reduces the reload/cool down time, shouldn't be using it on any vehicle imo.

Rroff, you wanna re-evaluate your experience when it comes to catching cheaters.

Nexus, you're truly a noob..No point using reactive, autoloader FTW as it hops your rounds replenish faster
