The Battlefield 4 Thread ~ Server details in opening post ~

You get used to the UI over time. I have been running Win 8 since October without any UI additions and don't mind it that much. Although I still prefer Win 7 UI and am hoping that it makes a return with with Win 9 (the option to choose between a traditional Start button and metro interface would be the best solution).

Hopefully I will be on this evening after a few days away, or is everybody playing Titanfall?

Some decent games tonight, played pretty **** though, just didn't have the patience for it, vehicle loadouts all reset so got into a vehicle with ****** wrong loadout, hit reg. all over the place still etc.

And then the annoying problem that I can't join any second assault maps now.......

Going to buy cs go later on so not sure if I'll be on this much till naval strike is out.

People (randoms) in my squad were bitching about you sitting in the MAA on paracel... so I said I'd drop a radio beacon on you and laser designate and a couple of them (were playing engineers anyhow) could come with javelin or sraw... I spent most of the map running around the buildings at B like a tit waiting for them to actually spawn on my beacon and carry out the 2nd part of the idea :S they'd rather just bitch than carry out a simple bit of teamwork.

Then I tried to C4 you which went horridly wrong due to some stupid game bug - managed to get 2 close enough for the mobility hit then ran out planted the last one on you - ran back into cover tapping the fire button for nothing to happen then noticed (even though I'd distinctly seen the C4 land on you it was showing 1 C4 left) ran out again just as you got moving only for the C4 to attach itself to some invisible wall (which I think was a "ghost" of the vehicle from the stationary position) and blow myself up instead.
 
Well I installed this game last night for the first time ever. Tried to get on a server, and the load screen pops up for example...

And then nothing happens, just seems like the loading screen is there forever.

Any fix?

Battlog just says "loading level"
 
It can take quite awhile before the game swaps over to fullscreen and loaded into the level. After about 15 seconds the BF4 icon should show in the task bar with the game minimised while its connecting to the server.
 
Nope more like 1/10th that - sounds like the plugin might need reinstalling.

EDIT: Oh the loading splash screen is actually showing? that could be a few different things including deleting user.cfg if you have one (probably won't though unless you made one yourself).

I'm not sure if is is the solution but your problem sounds similar ( I think) to what people were experiencing after the late Feb patch. There is a workaround, you have to alter a User config file.

Yeah, I will get use to it within the week but will still annoy me :p


And TS/game has been pretty much dead the last week....

hehe got to love it when people whine about you being in an aa, tank, boat, jet or whatever yet they don't do very much about it or at least fail too....

Have to give an A to you for the persistence of trying to take me and the aa out :D I particularly enjoyed the "road kill" one, didn't even know you were behind me :p
 
im on this evening with a new fresh ass clean PC..Took the beast apart today, cleaned out all my dust filters, fans, heatsink...took the fans and exhausts off my GPUs and applied new compound, just ran benches and cpu stressing, all in all was well worth the effort today. Looks like my CPU is around 10 degrees cooler and GPUs around about the same under stress.

locked and loaded for this evening :)

and me
but the net code since the last update its made playing it a joke (headshot icon?), shame it was about fixed for me. I always hated Battlefield 3, so adding insult to injury has the expansion pack aftershock ruined this grrr
