CS:GO was pretty fun last night with westie etc. Was fun running around with the desert eagle headshotting people :p The AUG is very good!

Did better than I expected too which was a nice plus.

Game looks pretty decent too with everything on max settings and runs really nicely, overall it has a very fluid feel to it, bit of lag every now and then but nothing to be annoyed about.

I so badly want HL 3 and l4d3 now, half life 2 = the greatest game EVER

Might reinstall HL 2 and try the cinematic mod out sometime soon...

Played the beta and it was quite good fun but much like other games, not something you can play too much of imo.

Not paying £25+ either :p

Unfortunately when bf 4 is running like **** i.e. last night and the lag then bf 4 simply isn't worth bothering with :(

Only reinstalling it, if HC servers (preferably with a sniper limit) are quite popular.

Spotting system in bc 2 softcore is beyond retarded.


Won't be on bf 4 tomorrow and if the game is still laggy tonight then CS go it is again!

I'd rather put up with a few laggy servers and the issues BF4 has than actually play CS, it just didn't do it for me, it's just so basic. Couldn't believe how crap it was actually, CS GO must be tons better than this.

You talk about getting bored of Titanfall pretty quickly Nexus, IMO CS is even more of a one trek pony. Yeah the movement and hit reg is nice, but it's so yawn worthy.

I played a ton of it back in the day but no way it could occupy my time likes games like BF4 do these days. However I do painfully miss the movement, hit reg and just overall low level snappiness of those older games when playing BF4 if that was in I could live with many of the other bugs far easier.

But yup, CS games aren't something you can play for hours either and no doubt I will get bored eventually but for £3, I can't exactly complain and even better it isn't by EA :p

And CS go is pretty much the same as cs go imo, just different UI, updated graphics etc.

I had great fun with CS:S, didn't play the search and destroy game mode, just deathmatch, RPG/upgrade surf mod servers (90% of my time on these) and gun master.

I had some fun at times but it felt a bit off to me - mostly the UI and interface between UI and the game didn't feel right for single player - I ended up a few times doing stuff with the UI (i.e. equipping multiple items) when the game expected me to only equip a specific item and then I couldn't select the item the game was telling me to use for the next bit (i.e. one of my team would hand me the item I was supposed to use - but the pickups I'd done from supply chest thingies would over-ride that item in my "inventory").

Feels a bit like the "single player" mods for Quake 3 for want of a better way to explain it where the MP AI was basterdised into SP enemy and MP features shoe horned into doing duty for single player gameflow.

I found the campaign to be ok, nothing special but I have seen worse. Worth doing to get some of the weapons unlocks, M249, but that is about it.

Nexus what is BFBC2 like server / player wise?

Quite a few hardcore rush servers up! Although it will be interesting to see later on tonight after 10pm as that is when the servers were dead (about a year or more ago)

Movement/controls are so CLUNKY!
 
What about normal servers?

I don't play much HC.

A physical copy can be got for a less than a fiver.

Played it a lot on PS3 and PC before BF3 was released, loved some of the maps, Isla Inocentes and Arica Harbour on rush could give some great games.

BC 2 is great fun, maps and rush made that game.

Although imo you really need a server with a sniper limit and no CG/RPG on infantry in the open, joined a game earlier and 3/4 of my team just sitting on the hill sniping and enemy team spamming rockets on infantry in the open.........

PACKED! Loads of servers and most are full :eek: And that is only for rush mode....

I posted a link on TS for a steam gift version for £3.93 I think it was at Kinguin, or an Origin key for £5.86, people could probably find it cheaper but that's just my quick look lol

aww Nexus that's Harvest Day - the good old days when they gave us 4 free maps to play BC2 on. it was Heavy Metal, Harvest Day, Oasis and White pass. White pass I never really got on with. but hey ho. Loved it all
 
Had 3 games on BF4, still a little laggy in places but not as bad as last night.

Ea giving away free stuff. Those days are long gone...

CS:GO is different to CS:Source. Tbh, I still think CS:Source is the better of the two but that wasn't a patch on CS 1.1.
Anyhow, you can't really compare CS:GO and BF4. I much prefer the weapon handling in BF4, but you can't get away from how good the hit reg is in CS:GO.
