Im running an overclock on the gpu so I will run it at stock and see how it goes.
I looked for every fix except turning down the oc, duh.

I'm a tad stuck on this at the moment.

I'm a bit in love with the game but I'm beyond crap! I used to play CSS competitively back in the day, topped boards for BF 1942, 2142, 2 and wasn't too bad at BF3...

But! I'm struggling with BF4... Getting a 0.4 kd ratio at best! It's too fast I find, and too packed.

Team death match, love it in BF3, no doubt it would be fantastic in BF4 as well.

But stuff like conquest and rush is just like death match, but even busier! What filters can I put in to look for slower paced games?

My mate said non 64 man servers are good, but then the maps are smaller?

I just want the feeling of BF2 again, being able to wonder around for ages, but if I want I can jump into the thick of it in the 1 or 2 conflicts going on in the map...

Any ideas? It's the only thing I don't like, it's spawn, shoot, die, spawn, shoot die... repeat.

If you like to play a little more cagey then just play 32 or 48 man servers on the bigger maps. Some of those CR maps are big like altai and dragon for vehicle stuff. If you like infy play with more room to run around stay away from lockers.

Just been trying out the range finder with srr61 and 20x scope. Awesome is all i can say. I know some dont like bush wookies but when you get the odd couple of snipers trying to do each other from long range and it gets really good fun. I dont mind a slower pace of play every now and then. Was on silk road just outside spawn on the hills and took out a few snipers around the US spawn (longest was 1033 metres). Very enjoyable :p
 
Installed Windows 8.1 over the weekend and it's made quite a big difference FPS-wise for me; doesn't seem to dip below 100 much if at all now, whereas before on 7 I was averaging around 80-90.

Probably helped by a combination of fresh install/ drivers/ tweaked OC on my CPU too however.

Hoping to get some serious hours in tonight and see how many things the new patch has broken :p
 
Now I am scared to play the game once the patch has been applied tonight!

Might just stick with BF3 until they eventually pull their fingers and thumbs out and actually fix the problems and not create more!

have you tried re-installing direct x from your battlefield 4 installer folder in origin games ?

i've found i have to move around a bit slower than bf3, in bf4 if i run to much i tend to run round corners into a group of the enemy, or not spot people i should do.

as mentioned try 48 players to see what you think, or just stroll around rather than run on 64 player, also see if you can squad up with people from around here and it might get a bit easier getting cover from them :).
