The be quiet! MEGA competition!

Tell us why you want the PSU

Bit of a noise freak, to the point of considering (briefly) a 3tb flash storage array just to avoid the hdd vibration.

Was also probably one of the two people that bought that massive CR95 Nofan Icepipe cpu cooler a few years back, silent, but almost bent my motherboard in half..

Looking for something worthy of replacing the fantastic Scythe Kamariki 4 i'm still clinging on to, low wattage, but the easily the best fan I've ever seen on PSU - absolutely zero rattle/bearing noise across the entire rpm curve.

Happily!

Because of the above, always looking to... evaluate... the use of the word 'quiet'. ;)

Additionally an engineer by trade, have access to scopes and bunch of a kit to check efficiency, ripple and all that good stuff,

Need it for a budget second machine built from spare parts to play the glorious multiplayer that is rocket league with a family member.

No problem.

Fresh build, no special tools etc, so can only offer a review as the average consumer, first impressions, noise, how easy cable managment with it was etc.

Done :)

You should pick me as I can give a descriptive and impartial review of the product for the "average joe" and the "enthusiast". You could sleep safe at night knowing you gave me a chance to review a cool product which is something I've wanted to try for a while now :D

Tell us why you want the PSU
I have a few projects in mind which this would be perfect for and it would certainly be put to good use :)

Tell us why you want the PSU

Currently running with an OEM PSU which doesn't have enough PCIE connectors for a new graphics card. Also very loud.

I can write a short review about the PSU, will be honest as possible.

I've browsed through hundreds of different power supplies on the internet and I am a regular visitor on PSU review sites.

I've been looking to upgrade from my old 450w Corsair for a while; I have a Pentium Anniversary Edition running at 4.5Ghz and I think it deserves some cleaner juice. Also a modular PSU would be lovely for tidying up my case.

Not a big ask, sure.

I promise I'll make the review truthful, objective and insightful. I'll do my best to offer information that will be useful to prospective buyers.

A poor choice of a corsair CM750W PSU in my current rig was already leading me onto looking for a sutiable replacement, My current one decides to Spin as fast as it can from cold and stays that way, No adjustment for idle, none for any sort of loading. A replacement PSU would make my rig BeQuiet! And stop me from wanting to remove it from my desk.

Of course i'll write a review (You don't get something for nothing) An honest review is what you want, An honest one you'll get and no, I won't go;

OMG this thing is so quiet, you must buy one!

A review of everything i can measure and do with what i have will be compared against my current PSU.

My rig if needed, 4790k, GTX980Ti in a corsair 250d case (where cable management will be key)

Im using an 8 year old corsair HX520 and need more power, noise is one of the most important factors to me in a new PSU so one of the 600W ones would be perfect for what I need.

You'll get a straight forward and honest review from an average consumer

Well... My HTPC build has a silent passive CPU cooler, a silent passive graphics card and yet spoiling everything I can hear my current psu whirring away, which really ruins the effect.

Agreed

Well... My first PC was a an acorn electron, the game 'Beach Head' had me hooked and I've been fiddling with electronics ever since!

I want the PSU so I don't have to take the one out of my test bench when I need it for testing fans and other accessories.

Of course I'll write a review on your shop, anything for you cuties.

You should pick me as I have plenty experience of reviewing products of all type. The PSU will also get loads more use in the future and will become a valuable asset to my testing hardware.

Would really benefit my rig as my PSU is playing up

I am a keen OcUK fan and I am really into my computer hardware. I'd give a thorough yet fair/unbiased review. I am also super cool.

Because I am currently using an Aerocool PSU which may go bang at any time, only you can prevent forest house fires (by giving me a decent PSU).

Will do, one for the forum with pics too.

I intend to buy one of the new 1070/1080 cards ASAP so I can test it with the latest hardware.

I should win it because I need a new PSU for an ITX rig I have inherited.

Review? Easy. This power supply will be way better than the 350w generic piece of crap I need to replace... I'll work on it from there.

You should pick me as a reviewer as I can English very good

be quiet! psu's review entry

Tell us why you want the PSU

I am building a game pc for a friend and the only thing missing except for the soon to be bought GTX 960 is a capable psu! ~when I have all parts together I will ship the whole set to Greece. but need to test first before I do

Because I want to build my wife a PC for her Birthday and this would be perfect.

Would love to.

I think you should pick me as a reviewer as I have been building computers for a good few years now and feel I can review it against the corsair supplies I have always used.

I currently have an EVGA 500B power supply which is not modular and also not very efficient. I have no room in my case and the resulting cable management situation is almost unbearable

sure thing :)

I think that I will be able to write a good review and often have to write reports for my university degree, studying to be an electronic engineer so I have a pretty good understanding of how these bad boys work.

Tell us why you want the PSU

Because I wouldn't have to buy one for my next rig meaning I can buy a bigger SSD or the next CPU up in the range.

Yes.

You should only do this if you want an unbiased honest end users experience of the product and service you supply, if its good I will say so, if its bad I will say so, if you put it right I will say so even louder!

Tell us why you want the PSU
Give my grandad his first PC

Will write a review ofc

I hope I can write a good review and personally have never tried to write one before, so it would be good practice to see if I'm any good :) I can have good english skills when I want to, and would hope to deliver a thorough review of the PSU to the best of my ability (though I don't have testing equipment unfortunately)

GL to all!

I'd really like a BeQuiet PSU as I'm currently looking to upgrade the GPU of my pre-built PC (my Radeon 6870 is long in the tooth now) and will need a beefier power supply to provide the power and reliability that will need. I've actually been looking at their products already because they seem very competitively-priced and would make a great replacement for my current fairly generic OEM 400W unit. The modular cable system would help with cable management in my fairly small case too. The 600W model would be ideal!

More than happy to provide a review if I were to receive one, and can provide my view as someone upgrading an existing pre-built branded machine. I've built my own PCs in the past so I'm no novice, but can at least provide a rounded opinion that would also appeal to the sort of person looking to upgrade a pre-built machine as opposed to a self-built system.

I want something small and quiet for big screen rocket league in the living room. And have a huge soft spot for BeQuiet.

For you, anything.

I have a vague competence with the English language, and change parts often enough that I've been through some PSU's in the past couple of years so some comparisons may be made.

My current PSU is currently being re-developed as a 2-bed Semi for Shadow the hamster and his extended family.

After 5 long years it's probably time he hung up his little rodent air jordan's, popped his mini sweat bands into the wash for one last time and jumped down from his wheel.

How short are we talking?

- Elijah Wood/LOTR kind of not really short, 'short'?
- Starbucks' widely unknown 'short' which is simply a normal sized cup, kind of 'short'?
- Or the length of time you can pin an MP to a manifesto promise kind of very short, 'Short'?
