5th - Suzuki T500

6th - Suzuki GT500

7th - Honda CB900F

8th - Kawasaki GPz1100B1

9th - Kawasaki GPz1100B2

12th - Triumph T595

13th - Yamaha R1

14th - Kawasaki ZX12-R

15th - KTM Duke

16th - Buell X-1

17th - Honda Pan European

19th - Harley Softail Deuce

20th - BMW R1200GS Adventure

21st - Harley Fat-Bob

22nd - Harley Wide-Glide

23rd - Busa Gen2

I think that's it. I may have missed out the odd nail here and there.

One bike stands out from the crowd as being my most memorable - the Suzuki X7. The first ton-up 250, brand new in 1979. Made me feel like Bazzer

My X7 was white...bought from Mead and Tomkinson in Monmouth...had to get the bloke next door to transport it home in his van because i had`nt rode a motorcycle before!....i WAS Bazzer on that bike and i haven't looked back since....well i have looked back obviously or i would be dead by now. I blew the crank oil seal on the X7 and decided to move on to a Suzuki GSX 400/4.

I used to de-coke the pipes by ramming a spud in the arse end of the pipe and pouring caustic soda down the other end!....also used to get up in the middle of the night just to ride the X7 for miles.

Ah , 'power pipes' on my RD250 , fill up and add a couple of shots of Redex , blast off down the road with a trail of 2 stroke smoke behind you , those were the days :D:D

Not quite as impressive as you chaps but here goes my history:

1st - Suzuki TS50 (soooooo slow it hurt)

2nd - Kawasaki AR125 (great fun and felt so fast but was a complete shed!)

3rd - Honda NSF125 (loved this bike, reasonably quick, very well made but after just a month of owning it I was wiped out by a Volvo)

4th - Aprilia AF1 125 (were the pistons made of cheese on this? the top end needed a re-bore and new piston every 5K miles!)

5th - Ducati Monster 600 (bargain at only £600 + £150 for new tyres, did tons of miles on it and sold it to a Desmo Due racer)

6th - Ducati 750SS (a bit of a rare one, bought it with only 600 miles on the clock, it had been stood in a barn for 11 years in imaculate condition, did 18K miles on it in 2 years then sold it on)

7th - Kawasaki ZXR750 (just selling it now, tis on ebay!)

8th - Aprilia RSVR Mille Colin Edwards Rep (just bought, bit too big for me :( though)

I've also raced an SV650 and a Ducati 900SSie.

I wanted something stupidly quick. It was either a cossie or a bike at the time due to insurance.

The bike won.

Passed my test aged 20, was in court and banned on my 21st, went racing when I was 21 lol. The rest is history as they say....

Wasnt the X7 the first production 250 to crack 100mph ?, I remember seeing guys with microns on them when at school

Dad started me off loving bikes, as a kid going to see RD500s in marlboro colours at 3X MCs. Had a NS400 poster on my bedroom wall... nasty 3 cylinder stroker, but it looked the part.

He had at the time a Honda CBX550, a fast bike in it's day. Then a VF750F (nice bike until cam chain tensioner let go)...

22 years of biking I've owned..

Simson 60 enduro
Honda C70 (felt like a rocket ship after 50)
Yamaha TZR125
Kawasaki KR1 250
Kawasaki ZZR600
Yamaha TDR 250
Vespa 125 with 3ft chopped forks
Honda VFR400 NC24
Yamaha R6
Suzuki Hayabusa
Yamaha R1
Suzuki TL1000R
Kawasaki ZX12R
Kawasaki ZX10R

Most memorable early bike was the KR1, jumping from a 125 to that was mind blowing, I felt king of the road. Power band on it was sooooooo addictive, which probably also helped it blow up at 3000miles. The TDR250 only lasted 2000miles :(

Next bike, prolly another litre machine like S1000, maybe a 3rd gen busa if one comes along... might even jack it in and get a 1200GS beemer.

The TZRs seem to have been a popular option, glad I spent the time and effort on mine.

Got it given it not running as some tool fitted the powervalve 45' too far over. Absolutely love it
