*ahem*

Personally, I like JC's cover of Hurt, Tori Amos' version of Smells Like Teen Spirit, and Pennywise's cover of Stand by Me. Those are probably my favourite covers.

And DMpoole, that song is horrific! But I really don't like the Beatles very much, so that may explain it...

A cover of Kate Wiedlin's Rush Hour.

Can't remember who it was by. Might have been Joyrider.

Also Gun's cover of Cameo's Word Up.

Alison Krauss and Union Station's cover of Keith Whitley's "When You Say Nothing At All". Someone should have played it to Ronan Keating before he recorded it, then maybe he wouldn't have bothered...

Prince (he wrote it, however he never played/released it until after Sinead did her version)

@Gilly isn't it Jane not Kate? Used to be in the Go-Go's?

He wrote it, she sang it, then he did it after her.
So SHE covered it?
No, he wrote it, she performed it, HE covered it.

If she covered it, just because he wrote it, that means god knows how many number ones of the past ten years or so can be classed as "Gary Barlow cover versions".

I'm not arguing!

Only stating he wrote it.

<edit>
Although actually, I have a very early demo he did of it , but it was not commercially released, so you're still right.
