Idd - my personal "epic" cutscene from it, which I still remember occasionally to this day is when he makes the "jump" from the first level to Mars (?) with the Jet Pack. First the falling animation which I had already seen so many times lol, followed by the cool guitar riff playing as he deployed the jetpack.
It was one of my earliest gaming successes as well!
Other cool memories:
- Motion Captured animation made everything, especially shooting, so realistic!
- My mom watching me hand in my identity papers on the second level and commenting to my 13-year old self "at least these games try and teach you something!" EPIC , EPIIIIIC times I tell you!
EDIT: Omg how could I forget, the other amazing cutscene where his memories come back to him! Awesome!
Ahh, for me only GT3 had a better soundtrack than the original, Ash, Garbage and all those Feeder instrumentals. Amazing. Oh and the background music specific to each dealership, Honda was my favourite.
Cant believe I forgot the one I'm about to mention.
Metal Gear Solid..... PS1........ Robo Ninja v Liquid Snake (in the Rex).... That battle was epic. The funny part was that I had the Jap version. lol I had no idea what the dudes were saying but the fight scene was glorious!
