The best intro you've seen!

Some good mentions above (Deus Ex, The Last of Us, Half Life and Quake2). I'll also throw in the Shadow of Chernobyl intro as well.

Mass Effect 2 hands down. It had everything, amazing scene, amazing feel, amazing sound and something that makes you go wow, wait, hang on, that can't be. Incredible intro on every level.

There's only one, surely.


"They told me told me, 'Son, you're special. You where born to do great things'. You know what, they where right..."


Not too mention 'Ryans' superb speech in the Bothosphere. Writing in video games has rarely been better before or since imo.

Join the Ubisoft Club and get Far Cry: Blood Dragon just for the intro(game looks good too), got Amiga graphics in part! And "The Predator" style intro, amazing.
