The big nuke

I've been a lurker since back in 2000 sometime when I was a Uni student. My brother's been registered on here since the beginning and I used to ask him to get any tech-related answers for me. It wasn't until I got my own broadband connection in 2003 that I signed up to get my own account though.

Oh I remember member of the month awards! :D

I think Im was the very last MOTW before it became MOTM.

I found my medal :D

I love the grab of the Dons Room. Gald to see quality threads in there as well :p

I only lurked pre nuke and registered just after, and as some others I'm still more of a reader than poster..

I joined after the Nuke, but it was stil recent history (and people could still remember Spie driving a Vauxhall). Cricky, it's amazing what happens while you're making plans.

The funny thing is now that I work in IT I hardly look at the technical forums, I used to spend most of my time in General Hardware. I even specced the odd person (if Tupac was on lunch break).

I remember Fruitbat, Rebel, Mindyabeak etc, Reb used to live about 20 minutes away from me. Those were mad times. Had a different username then as well.

Well, managed to find an old email and a copy of an old order:
