The big nuke

And I thought I had been a member for a long time

Were they just as popular before the big nuke happend?

Im just pre-nuke as a lurker under a username long since forgotten in my forum username brain.

This place has grown hugely since the nuke which can only be a good thing.

I started off with a different username as well, I remember mine though :D

I remember the BigNuke. Just as though it were..... five years ago.

No sleep for about 36 hours :(

All Admins, Mods and dishwashers had their accounts pre-registered for them so no evil goits could snatch their usernames.

Cant say i remember this at all. First pc was a packard bell back in 2001....came here when i wanted a decent pc a year or so later! Didn't notice it had a forum for a while, registered then went to EOCF but got banned for arguing with a don over a sweary! I then came back here and posted a lot :(

Happy Nuke Day!! :)

Been a reader since 2001, tried to register around summer 2002 but registrations were closed IIRC (can't remember the reason), was only able to register right after the nuke.

i remember that, me and Malt_Vinegar were in uni together, we signed up again on the same night using our uni accounts, i never used that email address ever again!

-previous name 'cky2k' -got mixed up with cykey a lot of the time (especially in MM, so requested a change about 2 years ago)

Indeed, which is why, in case others hadn't noticed 2blue4u is member number 2.

One of the more memorable threads just before pre-nuke was called "What do you really think of me?". Nearly everyone asked that question and there were some pretty honest answers.

I still haven't recovered from the pain and anguish caused by getting a capital L when I wanted a little l :p Something quite cool about being a low user number (21) on a forum with so many members though :) Was a UB at the time.

I also remember people getting het up and threatening to leave because the forums were slightly the wrong shade of blue or a button had moved place or somthing.... although I think that still happens from time to time ;)

Can't believe it has been 5 years. I didn't post at all back then, well once in a blue moon anyway, but I certainly remember it. I remember some of the threads just before the nuke being brilliant, but I can't remember any specifically now :(

Sounds like fun, can we do it again? :D

I was but a mere lurker back then. I had joined in 2000/2001 under some stupid name that I can't remember - but then forgot about the place and in 2003 decided to give it another go! Been up to Don seen it all and loved every moment of it. I'm back to more lurking now than anything else really. The good old days eh?

And just over there ........ it was all fields ... Uncle Spie was busy on his market stall selling them new computery things ...... anyone fancy a Werthers Original or a Glacier Mint?

I remember the big nuke because I had been here for a year or 18 months and I had just reached 1000 Posts. It's taken me 5 years to get to 3k :o I guess I don't spam as much as the rest of you. I do read more than I post...

Panzer

sounds about the same as me...
