The Big WWE Wrestling Thread

Checking online, in Spain at least, the only way to watch it is to subscribe to WWE network. It's only 3.99 a month and can be cancelled at anytime.

Seems too good to be true, but for that price, i'll pay even if I don't manage to stay up!

Has anyone watched past events live via their streaming subscription? Is the quality at least 1080p?

rp2000

Subbed to the network since it began and it's well worth it. 1080p is annoyingly the best you'll get, still don't know why they don't do 4K. Now that they are getting rid of WWE Network and moving it all to Netflix, we'll hopefully get 4K

But in the mean time, it's definitely worth 3.99! I pay 9.99 and I'd say it's worth it. Aside from the PPV live streams, the other content on there is amazing

Every year I forget how much staying up for ‘Mania ruins me :D the fact it’s two nights these days makes it worse as we’ve got to do it all again later
Great show though, happy for Sami and glad Rhea retained. Becky just isn’t grabbing the crowd like she used and her character is almost annoying now.

Main event was class, Rock did brilliantly given his time out the ring and his age.
Looking forward to tonight, just hoping Cody gets the win

I have skipped the above because I am trying to avoid the results.

When I start the WWE network app I am getting audio from the start of the show and it says it's runtime is 4 hours 17 minutes but the visuals on screen start midday through the Women's championship match!

Anyone else experiencing this?

Ah sorry mate, selfish of me not to put those in the spoiler tags! Lack of sleep and caffeine, wasn’t thinking. Will update my post

That was such an epic way to do the main event, I wish the Undertaker was in character and not just in gym gear, but still, epic all the same. A shame Stone Cold declined as I think that would have been a massive moment to have him and The Rock face off, but ultimately, absolutely brilliant main event

Little annoyed that Drew finally got his moment in front of a crowd, and then they go and take it away from him with a cash in

All in all a great show, fantastic Wrestlemania.

Off to WWE Live next week so hopefully there's a decent lineup now with the results over the weekend.

Genuinely excited for some of the potential storylines that come out of this, Triple H while obviously not doing this on his own, has seriously re-energised wrestling for me and nearly every fan

Yeah, there's a lot of strong rumours about the Rumble coming to the UK next year as well, which I'll definitely go to. I went to Clash at the Castle in 2022, and that was brilliant, such a hot crowd.

So glad Cody was able to finish his story.

Also Iija Dragonov coming to RAW/Smackdown....yes!

P.S Samantha Irvine is amazing!

Yeah, Samantha doesn't get enough credit from a lot of fans, just how much her announcing has an impact. Her being so emotional when announcing Cody as the winner was brilliant, because you know first and foremost, she's a massive fan of the sport, so that was completely genuine, but also, it just added so much to the end of that match for everyone watching as it catches you up in those emotions as well.

Same as last night, when she announced John Cena as part of the winning team, you can tell she really loves it and the passion comes through to us fans as well

How was the show?

I just caught up with Raw and not sure how all the stars managed to fly over and perform?

Yeah was really good. Crowd was great even though it was just a Live show. Compared to previous WWE Live shows I've been to, the crowd was a lot more into it.

Decent card as well in the end:

IC Title Match
Sami vs Fin Balor vs Gunther vs Chad Gabel

Natalya and (I've forgotten) vs Zoe Stark and Shayna Baszler

Drew McIntyre vs Jey Uso

Ricochet vs JD McDonagh

WWE Championship Match
Damien Priest vs Kofi Kingston

Becky Lynch vs Piper Niven

Undisputed Title Match
Cody Rhodes vs Shinsuke Nakamura

The noise when Cody came out was awesome. Also when Jey came out, despite being against Drew, he was the massive crowd favourite. I know Drew is a heel but I still expected him to get the bigger reaction given he's one of ours, he played to it brilliantly though.

So...just went to get Clash at the Castle tickets, we went to the one in Cardiff and wanted to make this one as well.

Cheapest tickets? £340 each, up in the rafters. I originally had ringside seats, on the side that gets all the TV cameras facing it. £3000 each. I know it's a PPV but I paid £75 each when it was in Clash at the Castle - Cardiff (and they were good seats!), and £80 each for Money in the Back last year. They can swivel if they think I'm paying £300 to be in the worst seats possible, if it was Wrestlemania, I'd probably pay it just to say I've been, but for a normal PPV? Not a chance

A shame as I really wanted to go, so did my son

Crazy pricing. They will still sell out but people need to take a stand and leave it unsold :)
Will have to watch it at home instead.

Oh no doubt they will sell out. I've always wondered what people pay for those front row, ring side seats...I knew it would have been expensive, but £3k each?! Absolutely mental!

When Wrestlemania inevitably gets hosted over here, I dread to think what the prices will be then!
