The show starts at 8pm Eastern time. The watershed is 10pm, so theoretically, they have an hour extra to breach PG. However, because of the time zones, the broadcast in other zones such as CT falls within the watershed period.
WWE could broadcast heavier material, but they could face a fine. A lot of companies have done this before, as the fines are not actually that hefty (a few hundred thousand), and it's more than worth the risk if it means many more extra PPV buys. Thinking back, other than the partial nudity of some of the female wrestlers, was the Attitude era even that bad compared to most things these days? All I can really think of in the realms of swearing is "Candy Ass", "Son of a Bitch" and Stone Cold flipping the bird.
I have hated tna with a passion for the last 2 years. stopped watching it couple weeks back, and honestly, its actually good. MUCH better than raw. To the point where I have stopped watching raw
