The Big WWE Wrestling Thread

And right on queue the dirtsheets are reporting Miz will be a late entrant to the Raw ladder match tonigh. Cena still expected to go over and face CM Punk at Summerslam though  :(

Can the main event of the wwe's biggest event of the year really be contested between two part timers both of which have a high probability of not being around following the ppv? Rocky will be at Mania but I've got a horrible feeling it'll be against Cena again. Lesnar faces Taker.

yes, lesnar vrs rock is a massive event especially if they have lesnar hold the wwe championship.

taker cannot lose at wrestlemania. i forcast either taker hhh , taker versus batista or taker cena with lesnar versus rock.

cena rock will not cut it a second time round. they have damaged cena with the rock and with lesanr they cant pin another wrestlemaina on him.

rock lesnar, with cena to win a ppv after with an epic match. then back to normal as the wwe giants leave again.

I think it's been widely reported that Taker gets to choose his own opponent for WM29. It'll probably be Cena cause we've yet to see that.

Just had a look at the MitB results; How bloody predictable.

Cena wins, Ryback wins a squash match, Sheamus beats Del Rio, Ziggler wins the other MitB match, and even Miz being a "Surprise" late entrant was predicted in good time. I'm also not surprised Punk won again.

Not been keeping up with wwe for a long time now. Any young stars that could be the next hhh/Orton/Cena/Rock/Austin in the business just now?

I guess Punk is the current big big star in wrestling.

Yep boring Cena wins again, boring Cena closes the show again, boring Cena will win the title again, boring, boring, boring

Punk v Bryan was brilliant though

I thought the WHC MITB match was pretty great and that the PPV was generally pretty good overall.

I found the Big Show getting all those ladders thrown on him totally comic and inexplicably hilarious though.

Ziggler. He's a selling machine. Should be a world champ right now.

Also, Tyson Kid, Cody Rhodes and possibly Antonio Cesaro. Needs to be seen with him how he fits in with the WWE.

Outside the WWE, El Generico.

Despite what many as saying, I do love the current AJ story. The PG Suicide angle from 2 weeks ago, and then the whole marriage thing from last week. Its reaching a 'so bad its good' stage.

Oh well really enjoyed the last 8 months and CM Punk's reign as champ, back to the status quo next week :(

I don't know, I still think there is a chance that someone in Stamford has a brain and sees that Punk has a DVD coming out and might want him to be prominently featured on tv while that is happening.

Also there might be a feeling of owing him one for all the good work he has done, shilling t shirts and having great matches with everyone (including Kane).

I hope you're right I really do (there's also a new wwe title on the way if Punk's tweets are anything to go by) but whether it's Raw next week or Summerslam next month I cant see Punk's reign lasting much longer. I wouldn't mind but we all know that only 3 people guaranteed of their place of top billing in the wwe (Cena, Triple H & Taker) so not only would Punk lose the title but also disappear into the midcard :(

I think Cena might be the first guy to not get the title after an MITB win, but if he goes into Summerslam without the title he'll definitely walk out with it.

Which sucks, y'know but hopefully it'll allow creative to freshen up CM Punk a bit.

Punk doesn't need freshening up though, he's still the most over with the fans person on the roster

Summerslam does look good already though; Triple H v Lesnar, Mysterio v Del Rio, Jericho v Ziggler (okay I'm guessing the last two but they'll surely happen after last night)

I tell you what, the 1000th RAW is shaping up to be pretty awesome, its just a shame D Bryan wont hold the belt till after Cena now, because i would have thought that Cena will have it until The Rock takes it off him at WM29

It still grinds me that the special appearance guys get put ahead of the champion - unless the champion is Cena. Why can't we see Punk v Brock or Bryan v HHH or whatever? The everyday workers mean that the irregulars have a show to come to, the writers could at least give them a bit of a run. By making the regulars look like they are on the level of, say, the Rock must help everyone?!
