The Big WWE Wrestling Thread

Owens really is being booked fantastic however I'm sad we aren't going to see much of Joe v Owens in NXT because of it.

Also Ambrose is ways fantastic and the way this is playing out I may even have to start watching raw again

I think you are going to be surprised. I hear that Joe has surpassed expectations in the WWE in a very short period of time. I think that Joe and Owens will be on the main roster full time within 6 months.

Oh I've no doubt they will be on the min roster soon (well Owens already is) but I would have loved to see it done in NXT because, frankly, whoever is writing NXT is better than however is writing raw. Or at least that was up untill elimination chamber. I may actually try and watch raw again as it was just awful for a while

Watch this for a laugh at the amount of utter BS hogan spouts about Andre. Ironically called the "bs report" i think the host could have gloated out on the amount Hogan spewed.

Cliffs from the fantasy world of Hogan:

Andre was actually 7 feet 4. (BS)
Andre was never pinned or slammed before mania 3. (BS)
Andre was more like 650 or 700 lbs, and never 500lbs. (BS)
Hogan tore his biceps after slamming Andre (a recent addition to the fabled tale of yore). (BS)

And here's Hogan also telling us about how the undertaker came to be.

Unfortunately it doesn't tally in any way with Mark Calloway's version, he tells it from 2:31 onwards.

What is it about this man that just reeks of bs? Its down right pathetic seeing the way he exaggerates and totally lies about things just so he can have some added claim to the contribution of things in wrestling besides Hulk Hogan. Its a pity no interviewer ever seems to call him out on his bs and set him straight about things.

Trivia question for you guys! In straight 1 on 1 matches, how many times do you think John Cena has lost clean since 2005? That's 10 years!

Im going for no more than 10, x1 per year!

Correct!

Shawn Michaels, RAW, April 23, 2007
Great Khali, SNME, June 2, 2007
Triple H, Night of Champions 2008
Batista, Summerslam 2008
Big Show, RAW, March 30, 2009
Randy Orton, Hell in a Cell 2009
The Rock, Wrestlemania 28
Daniel Bryan, Summerslam 2013
Brock Lesnar, Summerslam 2014
Kevin Owens, EC 2015

Those are the 10 clean singles losses he's had.

In the last few years I can only think of rock, punk and owens. So it can't be many

Punk never beat him without interfearance. Assuming you're talking about MITB, Vince and Johnny Ace caused a distraction.

Lol lost cleanly to The Great Khali

Amazes me how "wrestlers" like khali get into the wwe and others who can actually wrestle can't. Just shows Vince still has a chubby for the big men. Khali can barely walk due to issues with his knees, and just looks awkward as all hell. Surprised he hasn't made a return as of yet.

You have to understand that the WWE do not just put on shows in the states or the UK. India is a huge market for the WWE and Khali is a big draw there. Yes he looks bad and I don't think I have seen a match that he has had that I havnt forwarded past. But there still is a necessity for people like him to expand into emerging markets.

Also do remember there were some GREAT big men in the past. Kevin Nash, Sid Viscious, Vader etc that all struggle now but were fantastic money makers in the past. It is "Sports Entertainment" after all and sometimes they wheel these people out for the entertainment part and other times there is a very big surprise when one of them can kick some serious butt.

In other news... I hear that Tyson Kidd is out Injured after Samoa Joes first match (Dark Match) in WWE. That said I have a feeling its some returning injury and will be something do with Total Divas and Natalya. Otherwise I could see all the dirtsheets being all over Ex-TNA Wrestler "Samoa Joe" puts WWE wrestler in hospital in first match..

I've been watching wrestling since the old british wrestling on saturday afternoons, if you can call haystacks and big daddy belly bouncing each other wrestling. :p

Yeah there was great big men in the past but Khali can barely move, he's totally uncoordinated in the ring, half the time he looks as though he's ready to fall over just watching him ambling about the ring. You can't say that about Nash, Sid or Vader, Undertaker, Bam Bam, Big Show etc. Andre as he got older was more awkward in the ring but was still very coordinated and could do the job. I'd put Khali into Giant Gonzalez territory, was something different to look at but was more of a side show attraction.

Khali is only really different from the other big men in wwe that he's physically pretty built as well as being around the 7 feet mark, but besides that its like watching someone with arthritis tottering about the ring. He can barely even sell moves without looking like he's turning into a tower of Jelly. Went from being a monster heel to a joke til he finally left.

That Bobby Heenan video is really sad. When I first realised who it was it shocked me and I was stunned. He looks like a real life scream mask. Incredibly sad really...
