The Big WWE Wrestling Thread

As I said on MSN this is from the Bischoff book of scripting (as he had in WCW) ... every episode there was a heel-face, a face-heel turn and a couple of swerves. Sometimes someone would start the night as a face, turn heel and then turn face again before the end of the night.

Problem is this was AFTER the WCW hayday, and WWE is copying it now :(

And what exactly where the good matches?
DX, Kofi, half of Kane and half of Taker matches :D

The Kofi match was ridiculous, Miz dominates the whole match, kofi hits one move and its over.

I fell asleep during the Kane match so i cant comment.

The DX match wasnt too bad, even though it was 2 on 1 for most of it.

Not watched it yet, but hearing Randy is no longer time displeases me greatly. How was the match, was it the usual Cena where Orton dominates and Cena gets the STF in and it's all over?

OK OK OK!

As soon as I heard this PPV was called "Breaking Point" and that all the main events ended via submission I thought....ok this will be terrible but boy was I wrong.

This could be one of my favourite PPV's of 2009 as the matches were well done in all honesty and again WWE made the right decision and had no involvement from the Divas!!! :D

Forgetting about the Kane Khali match every match brought something to the table.

There was discussions about Takers movement and how he has "healed" and he is still not doing well apparently, the screw job came as a surprise to me as I hadn't seen Smackdown! on Friday night. I get it now.

Anyways I love the fact Legacy got the W over DX and the way they ended the match was great....HiaC next for them? I can see it being 3 PPV's in a row now unless Ted and Cody go for the Tag Titles now, though I think one more DX program will be run with them losing overall.

ANyways throroughly enjoyed it :D

Exactly that

Cena got dominated all match, handcuffed to about everything possible around the ring. Beaten with pretty much every weapon possible. Didnt say I quit.

Then he managed to get free, handcuffed himself to Orton, one move then put Orton in the STF and Orton quit almost instantly

It was a really really good gimmick match though, very well done. Just a bit of a shame Orton lost as easily as he did as that was the first time he was asked if he wanted to quit, while Cena got asked about 50 times

what a **** ending, dx match only one worth watching.

glad i didnt pay for it.

and why doesnt khali ever bend his legs?

predict taker vs punk HIAC next ppv

Slightly off topic but has anyone else read Bret Hart's book "Hitman"?? - I just read it while I was away on holiday and I was completely blown away by it!!!

Can anyone recommend any other wrestling bio's?? I've heard that "Pure Dynamite" by Tom Billington (AKA The Dynamite Kid from the old British Bulldogs team) is supposed to be pretty good!

Well lets be honest here.

DX are going to want another bite at Legacy, so tag match in a cell.

Orton's rematch too.

And 'Taker won't be happy about what happened. I expect he'll face Punk at HIAC, but it might depend on the trail of destruction he leaves around Smackdown.

I predict Batista + Taker vs Punk + Teddy at HIAC :D

Not sure about DX fighting Legacy again, I think Legacy will go for Jeri-Show first ... remember Ted is supposed to turn face in a few months so they need to build his cred a bit more and then turn him somehow.

Mick Foleys was a New York times best seller or something. My uncle recommended it to me years ago but I never got round to it :o

Better?

Given some of the current roster, i'd keep Batista without any doubt. Better off clearing out the dead wood like the majority of the Divas.

Breaking Point was a huge letdown apart from Legacy beating DX, and Punk retaining.

Orton was shafted up the **** again as usual. Two moves and he is forced to quit, yawn; SuperCena will go strong for another year now.
