You're meant to do that due to the risk of people opening their car doors (you've no idea how many do it intentionally), children/animals running out, etc.

As a driver you're also taught to give cyclists a good few bike widths...

The cyclist was an arse, but it was nice to see one hunt him down and ruin his day. :) Felt for the teenager passenger if he's the son of the driver though... imagine having that for a parent.

I'm so disappointed in the cyclist after watching the video, when the guy fell he should have stopped, looked at him and started yelling "where's your helmet!!!!", laughed maniacally then ridden off.
