Right, who's up for a meet in Bristol? :D
The plan is to do it 24th-25th June so got plenty of time for people to get booked etc.

Important: Date is now uncertain and being voted on so please vote in the poll and we'll go from there! The plan however will remain the same

The Plan:
Check in is around 2pm for hotels so meet up for late lunch around 3pm.

We'll be meeting at Wetherspoons which is about an equal distance between the Marriott and the Premier Travel Inn, and right in the centre too. It's by the waterfront so should be nice plus there's plenty of other pubs for us to move along to.

Then head back to the hotels to get ready for food and dancing.

Evening meal - We'll be eating at either Nandos or San Carlos, an Italian pizza pasta type place. They're both near loads of bars, with San Carlos being near another Wetherspoons that's meant to do some nice beers and ales (handy for any real ale enthusiasts).

After that, we might make our way to Oceana which according to Exentia is perfect for cheesy music.
Other than that we might just stay in a bar somewhere chatting or possibly some karaoke if enough people are up for it :D Basically, we'll figure it out depending on our mood when we're there as there's plenty to do along the waterfront and nearby area. :)

Sunday - morning will be spent recovering :p And then some bowling before we all head off home. Exentia's sorting out which one is best for motorway access so that'll be set nearer the time, and also I'll get some lanes booked for us all. Probably for around 12pmish to give us plenty of time.

Hotel options:
Three hotels we've sorted out that should all be fairly central and near to everywhere we're going.

Holiday Inn Temple Meads - Opposite Temple Meads Station and about 10mins from everywhere we're going - http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/ex/1/en/hd/brsct?irs=y

The Marriott in Lower Castle Street - http://marriott.com/property/abouthotel/default/brsdt?WT_Ref=mi_left

Brigstow Hotel in Welsh Back - http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g186220-d209377-Reviews-Brigstow_Hotel-Bristol_England.html

As with all OcUK meets: THIS MEET IS OVER 18's ONLY I'm afraid.

Edit: San Carlos is lovely, although mucho expensive
That may be subject to change then, don't want to price people out of the meet!

Interested here - though a complete n00b to you lot probably :p
So is everyone on their first meet :) And looking at a few names popping up already, you won't be alone!
Don't worry, we're a nice bunch and we don't bite ;)

As with all meets I won't know until nearer the time. Hopefully, once the Egypt job gets sorted properly, I will have a steadier rota but at the moment I don't know from one week to the next where I'm going to be.

You can put me down on the "Interested" list for now, Jen and I will confirm either way as soon as I know (could be as close as a week before  ).

Only passed through Bristol once on the way to the Swansea meet.

Stan :)
That's fine mate :) I know with your work, you don't get much say about when you're available etc. Hope you can make it :)

I thought there was something. I'm best man for my brother on the 24th.

Sorry guys.
Ah well, can't be helped. :) Be a shame to not see you there though. :(

I actually did a rendition of it (complete with dance routine) for charity a few years back...
Now you've said that, you have to come :p
If nothing else, I want to see the dance routine :D

First post updated with a link to a map Exentia's sorted out. :) It's got everything we need to know listed.

Having looked at the map, it's nice to see that us "proper beer" drinkers are being considered  If I make it, I may have to be prised away from King Street :D

Stan :)
Glad to hear you approve :D
Just don't forget your train/plane on Sunday like you did at Swansea :p

I didn't forget, I overslept - there's a subtle difference

I was very tired, I'm not young any more, I need my sleep

I should be alright in Bristol, the flight is in the afternoon (I may even stay on until the Monday - I'm fed up missing the Sunday activities due to travelling.
Fair enough :p :)

BTW one thing I haven't mentioned yet, we might have a brief detour Saturday lunchtimeish (so for anyone who's arrived a bit earlier) to a sweet shop just off Baldwin Street (near the Brigstow Hotel) as my cousin owns it and I've not seen him in years and I need to apologise to him for missing his wedding in a few weeks time :o
Plus he does proper sweets, penny sweets etc

or free for OcUK-ers yeah?! :p
No promises :p
Honestly not seen him in erm.....a long time. Should be seeing him at the end of the month for his wedding but i'm going elsewhere instead :o

You get to watch a family reunion type thing
