not really, the foam will stick better to a dry car, and it will pull off that loose dirt anyway.
I've seen that somewhere before...![]()
Living in a hard water area + washing car in sun = not good.
t cut as much as possible then think about masking off and spraying it with a colour matched can and plenty of masking over the bits that wherent touched
even if its not perfect(it wont be) its going to look a load better than it does currently
Thanks mate.
Probably going to give this a go this week and if the results are good I'll post pics![]()

Right so i've just had the chance to clean my new weekend toy so it's a kind of "new car post" without doing a new thread and a cleaning one too.
Quick details, 2005 STi with DCCD, bought with 29k miles, 18" WR1 style alloys, Tein suspension etc. etc.
Been raining a lot so it's been looking like this most of the time...
Got the cleaning stuff out, fan of keeping it simple and using what works well, if it's good for Aston Martin it's good for me
I know that people use fancy buckets with grit guards and everything and i've gone down the same route but opted for a bucket that is of good size, wide opening, it's made by Dairy Prime and think it may become popular on DetailingWorld
And then finally the results after a wash and clay (still to polish and wax)
