haha I'd love to see a GTR parked outside a council house :p

I'll always remember when I was learning to drive in a place in Liverpool (Norris Green) and constantly seeing an RS4 parked outside a house and a RR next door, just screamed drug dealers as the area is that nice Ross Kemp went there for his 'On Gangs' show.

have others seen the auto finesse smokescreen unravelling itself on various forums the last few days ?

about time really , had always suspected it

Cleaning a windscreen with a razor blade? Anyone tried that?

He definitely is a touch obsessive (just another few sprays...) but generally his videos seem useful.

Do share.

turns out they paid a small uk company to make their 'desire' wax , the one that has already been controversial because the 'limited edition' run quickly turned into a sell as many as we can because were getting £120 a pot for it

AF then started buying it from china , paying someone to copy the wax and sell them it for cheaper . still getting £120 a pot mind.

the company who was making it originally are now selling the wax for £60 a pot and have named it desireable 'unlimited edition' :p
http://www.angelwax.co.uk/?wpsc-product=desirable

was a huuuge thread on DW where people where posting links to what they have rebranded as 'triple' etc. except in its unbranded form it was £20 for 5 litres! the thread has now vanished!

obviously this is pretty much the norm in certain other industry's but just shows how much of this 'detailing' stuff is marketing and hype rather than actual results. i want to see more blind testing of products.

Hey, hoping i could pick your brains. I have a 2012 zetec S (Black) that is in desperate need for a decent wash, i have read the thread and come to the concusion i dont know anything about washing a car propperly. Ive been looking on clean your car at products and come up with something like this clicky ..........
I was wondering if you all think that's suitable or i should look at some other things? In the past ive only washed it normally with cheap car shampoo so i dont really have any of the stuff. Help would be appreciated!

Just had a quick nosy. Now am not sure what the thick buffing cloths are? I would just pick up some nice soft microfiber cloths to remove the wax and srp. sorry if they are the same thing :D I would also pick up some foam applicators.

Now Only time I buy Autoglym products is when they are on offer for 3 for 2. Halfords and b&q do this nearly all the time. Infact its on now. Great time to get pick up some gear

I clayed my window the other week, did seem to make a bit of a difference, but my window wipers are so truly awful that I've had to order some aero ones from wiperblades today, the first 5 wipes are dangerous

Definitely.

Thought it was well known that SwissVax brought out their wax at a decent price. Then other brands came out to compete so SwissVax doubled or even tripled the cost of their original wax and people were suckered into it.

Now look at them!

Ohh and I washed my car yesterday and now's it's ****ing down.

Thankfully it's got a fresh coat of wax on

Got to use my snow foam lance yesterday, who would have thought it could be so much fun blasting a car with soap?! :D

Car is spotlessly clean now with just a snow foam and rinse down - I waxed it not long ago and generally it gets a proper clean every 2-3 weeks so the snow foam used weekly should be great.
