Indeed. Bookmarked the M3cutters for when I attempt it in about 2016. :)

How did you fill in the deeper gouges? From pic 12 to 13/14 it looks like the deeper ones just vanish almost completely? Was that achieved just by rubbing with wet 'n' dry?

Interested in this too, a very good job!

Ta,

I really didn't think I would get the deeper gouges out without it becoming obvious and drastically changing the rim profile.

I was just patient and kept working at the area and also blending in the surrounding area so as not to end up with a hollow.

Part of me is tempted to remove the lacquer and try to replicate the grain from the diamond cut areas but deep down I know it'll be a waste of time and end up just being obvious.

400 was aggressive enough, and even then it was still very fine! Unsurprisingly the wheels weren't soft so weren't like cheese. Just take your time :)

Happy to lend a hand if you can get yourself to Bucks.

Can anyone recommend good car air freshener please?
Jelly Belly 3D - Cherry
California Scents - Coronado Cherry
:p

Theres a seller of the california scents on eBay does them pretty damn cheap babz I think theyre called (http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/babz?_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2754) should tae you to their store front, just over a tenner for 6. Avoid the Grape one tho realy does smell of puke

Also halfrauds have the Autoglym Perfect Bodywork Sets for reduced from £25 to £10 and still part of the 3 for 2.

Contains:
325ml Bodywork Shampoo Conditioner
325ml Super Resin Polish
325ml Extra Gloss Protector

So £20 gets you a litre of each

Cleaned my car last Saturday, then did a 700 mile round trip on Sunday and ended up spending Monday driving up and down farm tracks.

Why do I bother.

Hi all, I'm going to clean the car today, but my clay bar is quite tough?! Not as bendable as I see videos on YouTube?! Is this a problem?

As JP says, soak it in warm water for a bit and keep kneading it, it will soften up eventually. Remember you don't need to use the whole bar, you can cut a small bit off to use and it should be enough :)

Yeah THe last bar I had lasted ages, think ti was only a tenner.
Got the medium one, cut it into 4, each piece seemed more than enough to go over the whole car.

750miles travelled on Motorway and in the rain my wheels were grimy and caked in brake dust that I could not get off. As I could not find Bilt Hamber Auto Wheels for sale near me I bought some Meguiars Hot Wheels instead... good choice.

Cleaned the rest of the car in a drive through jetwash (high spec one).

Just as I was finishing the wheels a seagull bombed the other side so now I have bird poo down the passenger door

Cleaned the car properly for the first time ever, and then the heavens opened! FK1000p is amazing stuff though! Reflection in a silver car like I've not seen before :)

Think like every other person in the world who gave their car a wash today ...

Quick wash for both, both have got a fair bit of wax left from their winter detailing back around new years so just a quick wash every week keeps them looking tidy. Was just such nice weather had to snap a pic :)

you forgot the drivers side front wheel:o

Peek or Autosol with some fine grade wire wool will work a treat.

Bought some Autosol online during the week and gave it a go on my Father's car this afternoon. Absolutely fantastic! :)

Also had a go on Mother's Fiat 500 'sport' afterwards - it's a few years old, exhaust had never been cleaned and was starting to rust. Worked fine on that too :).

I hoovered out the car today.

Really need to get some adaptors to get down the side of the seats properly.
Or just a new hoover to use on the car, I do not like using the Dyson so use a spare, but it is on it's last legs.

I need to get some autosol.

Devine wind do you recommend any other of the Californian scents?

I like magic tree black ice, but do not like anything hanging! so will give these a try.
I used to put them in the magic tree in front of thr cubby in front of the gear stick, but in the heat one stuck there in my last car!

Coconut one was decent and the cinnamon apple was my "christmas" car smell :p
Cherry is my goto tho, new car next week as long as everything goes well might pop in another order on eBay handfull of cherry and a coupla new ones.
The original Bubblegum one is meant to be nice.

The tins tend to fit into most cupholders :)

Above post has made me realize I forgot to Autosol my exhausts today during a big clean, dammit :( oh well there's always tomorrow lol.

It's always nice when it rains after a wash + wax.
